I just hope the difficult balancing is only really for the early areas. I was always expecting those to be made easier, I figured they were just testing the waters with how many people can beat things at that difficulty, but hopefully the later areas will be the same and harder than the demo

Square Enix would agree. Their FFXV feedback said that a huge chunk of Jap players thought the early XV demo was too hard.

The only things I would change is streamlining picking up loot, and giving the bosses less HP.

All they needed to change was a better explanation for ki pulse, and turning away for enemies when you are locked on but not blocking. People would realize the game isn't that hard once you get a hang of ki pulse, but so many people I saw play had no idea how to do it. Fucking casuals.

You all need to stop freaking out, the later parts of the game are still going to e plenty hard and no doubt harder than anything in the demo, but scaling your difficulty to let the player learn how the game works is how good game design works. Even games that are considered well-received and difficult like DMC3 and Dark Souls have easy starts

Durability adds nothing but inconvenience to an ARPG. It's only good in survival sims, survival horror, and turn based tactics. I beat the demo and still said it should be removed in the survey. Glad they listened to the people that are not retarded.

That was the point

I never used the katana because the axes/hammers were nigh unbreakable. Literally no reason to use any other weapon. You had decent enough speed to still evade any enemy in the demo after getting off an attack and had superior damage and fatigue damage. Best weapon, no contest.

They've been playing mobile trash for so long they can no longer play anything else.

Equipment durability is bullshit and artificial difficulty in any game, it's a mechanic that exists because of pure sadism instead of attempts at realism or anything of the kind, because real world weapons and armors don't disintegrate after a few minutes or hours of use
