So, which do you pick?
Which Video Options?

I'm happy with my
1440p
144Hz
GSync
c
...
B probably
C
Although I do own a 144hz monitor and love it.
As this nigga said.
E, 1440, 144, G-Sync
C
I have a 144Hz monitor and it's okay, but I'd take consistent 60 FPS on 1080p on every game over the other options.
B or C.
Anyone that picks A should promptly hang themselves.
A
Get at me faglord
Depends on the game.
Really? D is clearly the worst option though.
Why do you people care about vsync so much?
What's wrong with 4K "cinematic"?
I'll take C since that's pretty much my current setup.
What retarded question is this
The point of PC gaming is that you can choose between all of these at any point.
I can play 4k at 30fps or i can play 1080p at 300 fps. I never use V-Sync because I'm not stupid (and I play twitch-reaction games).
TL;DR: Its all shit and has nothing to do with PC. B.
C
What the fuck is V sync?
B, so long as fps remains above monitor refresh rate
There's nothing worse than reduced input polling due to v-sync
What's wrong with v-sync if the game is tearing, and it's not a fast paced game?
ITT: faggots don't know what vsync is
the only real option is B, if you pick C enjoy your input lag
A, C or D depending how mow big the screen is
Some games tear so bad that it is awful, so the increase in latency is worth it. Especially in a non competitive scenario.
1440p 144hz
You guys and your placebos always make me laugh.
> Vsync causes lag!
> Mechanical keyboards make you better at the game!
> A mouse with higher DPI makes you a pro!
Anyone who falls for these marketing memes probably has a setup full of Razer.
The shitty card I have right now
1080p
30fps
No vsync
A, but I'd turn vsync off. Not sure why you seem to be implying that it's a plus.
c
D
B if G-sync is available
t. retard who plays everything with vsync on and/or in windowed fullscreen
Vsync does cause lag and it's really fucking evident.
Just try Vsync on Dead Space 1. Good god.
t. retard that buys razer garbage and every new piece of technology on day 1
D, 4K is the future and 30 fps stable is great
Vsync does cause noticeable input delay, so does low framerate
Mechanical keyboards are nice but not necessary
Plenty of Quake pros use low DPI mice, nobody says high DPI mice make you better at games, its what you're used to that matters.
Ur a faggot
A makes no sense.
How can you have 120 stable with vsync on?
>nobody says high DPI mice make you better at games
Pretty sure there are retards that do this. I don't think they're the same group that he's referring to, but they exist.
I see it as one of those things you are best overshooting your preference for and toning down. You can't really do that in reverse.
C.
Screen tearing is cancer
these two know their shit, the human eye can't see above 30fps, so highest resolution with 30fps wins
240p 1200hz
C, I need stable frame rate, most games, especially ports, get fucky at higher framerates, I don't own a 4k tv.
It's just more practical for me.
> 4K
> Early life
> Expensive as fuck
Enjoying those overpriced Samsung HD TVs?
>500$
>Expensive as fuck
lolwat
With the current quality of video games going beyond 480p is meaningless.
By the FPS not dipping below 120 renders a second, while also having vsync avoiding tearing?
$500 is expensive as hell
600hz is actually a term used to calculate pixel brightness, not refresh rate. I hope you know that, m8.
>being this console
Just how fucking poor are you? My WQHD monitor was about that price. It's pretty cheap for a high end screen.
>How can you have 120 stable with vsync on?
With a 120hz refresh rate, you dope on a rope!
C is the same as D.
B
Fuck VSYNC, it always creates input delay
A is fine for shit like Civ
Explain
>D
>v-sync while bellow standard refresh rates
On or off wouldn't even matter there.
Vertical sync. In some games, there is a screen tear effect that can be noticable. Vsync alleviates or gets rid of this tearing, but it caps the frame rate at your monitors refresh rate.
It also introduces lag because it builds a buffer of frames that it has to go through instead of serving new ones.
