N64/Gamecube/PS2 couch co-op and split-screen. PC never had that, and still doesn't.
Unfortunately consoles don't have this anymore and that's why PC is superior at the moment.

Not him and I only play on PC but offhand I can think of Halo 5 but it uses dynamic resolution scaling and has very heavy LOD and pop-in. Overwatch is 60fps also with res scaling also apparently not much but overwatch is not exactly the most graphic intensive game.

Digital Foundry's video on Halo 5 is good you get to see what compromises are required to get that performance on a console.

There's still very few games that can run 1080p 60fps on console. I can run every game like that on PC and with ultra graphics.

Console graphics are gimped big time to get that kind of performance.

PS3 I can see this being the case. But the with PS4 game updates just like a PC. Everything is done while you're still playing games and shit. And most system updates don't even take that long.

I like to actually own physical copies of my games. I like the sony ecosystem and how well everything is integrated together especially the handheld/home console stuff.

Also local multiplayer and generally speaking playing with friends. Oh and it just wirks, put disk in and you play the game. No tweaking the settings, no looking for fixes, no crashes or experience killing bugs.

And last but not least the PC community is filled with literal cancer from reddit. Not trying to argue that consoles don't have their share of retards but at least it's not as bad as the average steam nigger.

Do you know what a downloaded game is? It's 1's and 0's on a disk

CD drives and Hard Drives work off the same exact principles, the only practical difference is that a CD is limited to one set of directories per disk and has to be manually changed out each time you want to access a different directory. It's the same exact data.


A game written to your hard drive is just as much a "physical copy" as a game burned to a CD. The game content and logic is still made up of the same 1's and 0's

There is PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4. You can't just pop in a game from PS4 and get it going on PS2. My PC is from 2015 and it plays games from 2000. I can, however, find a PC from 2000 that can play a game (shit graphics) from 2015.

Right now if you get a high end PC it will keep you at 60fps and 1080p for years and years. We're at the point where 4k is the next big benchmark.

Personally I don't care about 4K yet, not until 4K monitors become way cheaper. I'll be happy running games at 1080p and 60fps for the next 6 years and probably even longer than that.
