Well, not that one.

I'd say maybe Mega Man V for Game Boy.

Past that, they all pretty well get their due.

megaman x6

Uh, not Xtreme? It's impressive that it's such a faithful sampling of X and X2.

IMO: MM8. Gets shit on a lot, but it offers a lot more creative levels than the 3 or 4 classic games before it.

I actually liked the 4+4 level setup, as it allowed the later levels to be harder and make you cleverly use your abilities. Buster-only people might not like that though.

Some RM designs are less than cool, but it was a really effortful love letter for the series' 10th anniversary.

Fucking this.

Only underages complain about its difficulty.

Mega Man 2 on Game Boy. It also has the most underrated OST.

Are these games any good? I remember seeing them in Target as a kid but never deciding to bite the bullet.

I liked Megaman & Bass, but a lot of people don't seem to.

Did no one else play this? I thought these were really fun as a kid

I got this shit off ebay years ago.
Yeah it's alright, I really like the look of it.
You should emulate it if you can.

>Not Xtreme 2
It was superior to Xtreme in pretty much every way.

MM&B is in my opinion one of the best classic MM games. Shit's ballbustingly hard, though.

GBA version is gimped though, and the translation is pretty weak. I would recommend emulating the SNES version with the translation patch.

JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE and the stages just being too damn long in general were the only really bad things about the game. Aesthetics were pretty wonky, though.

>MUH CONTRARIAN'S GAME
Face it, it was poorly designed - as seen by the poorly implemented Nightmare segments, Hi Max's one-weapon vulnerability, the Jumper Part, and Zero's down special, amongst other errors.

If you guys are telling me this wasn't hard as fuck when you were 12 you're fucking liars

>"HOPE YOU HAVE THOSE SPECIFIC CHIPS" BOSSES

MMBN2 was superior.

Only correct answer

The GBA version is terrible.

OST is musically decent, but they somehow fucked up with the GB's soundchip, making every track way too ear grating.

I've been emulating the SNES version and it's been enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend playing as Bass because it feels like the levels were designed with him in mind, and everything goes down shit creek for Mega Man after Cold Man. The last 2 King stages are a pain in the ass for either character though.

I don't think MMV is underrated, everyone praises the shit out of it when people talk about MM GB games. I haven't played it yet, but am excited to

3 is my favourite game of all time

MM&B is probably the last really good megaman game.

RIP HideOfBeast

Megaman X2 is actually almost as good as X1

Rest of the X games kind of suck, but X2 is very up there.

He's great and all but what else is there left for him to play?

MORE challenges.

Plus the manga.

So like I said, "maybe," but why MM2 gets all the limelight, ugh.

powered up and x6

X4 would be great if it had Z/ZX's mobility and fluidity.

How about overrated Megaman games?

Classic MM4, if only for the fact that it is unjustly overshadowed by Megaman 2. 2 is, albeit a decent game, very flawed and propably the second weakest in the classic series. Definately the most overrated Megaman game.

Fuk u

Everyone here is saying V GB but IV GB is even more underrated. It's still a rehash of the NES games but it's really solid and a lot of V's gameplay carried over from this one.

IV and V are the two Gameboy games I recommend every MM fan should play.

Why does Mega Man keep fucking his dog?

Mega Man II is shit

Fuck everybody this game was so fun

I only played the first one for the gameboy and it felt very slow, partially because the Megaman sprite alone took up about a fourth of the screen. The complexity of the obstacles also seemed toned down because of this. Did that get better in IV and V?

That was a good Mega Man RPG. Combat was pretty good and not to mention the game had the G-Gundam voice cast which made it fantastic.

Oh, combat was excellent. Game made you use every trick in the book, although the Final Chapter's fair difficulty spike was a little bullshit since the game gives you no warning to equip yourself specifically to handle the surprise.

But man, trekking was an utter chore. Not really sure why the clusterfuck design for X, either.

MMII GB's music is god tier. People just think it's shit because every song is so high pitched in the game. All the remixes of this game's soundtrack are really good.

Fuck it was amazing

This.
Megaman X6 was fucking fantastic. One of the best games in the franchise.

Giving X a laser scarf was the hypest shit

Megaman 2,3
Megaman X1-X3
Megeman Legends
Mega Man V

It was definitely interesting. Kinda wish it were just that, and none of the rest of the strange ass trim, though.

>handicapping yourself by going through the game with no armor and no damage
>Getting mad at that game because is almost impossible to do.
X6 is really flawed indeed, but he was retarded as fuck by handicapping himself like that, it's like doing a SMB2 run with no B button.
