Literally impossible.
Literally impossible
Git gud
Alternatively, learn to fade slash.
fade what now? I don't remember that from mgr
More like impossible to not have fun.
Offensive defensive, I just use the Monster Hunter term for what is pretty much the exact same thing.
WULES OF NATURE
OffensiveDefensive+Grab health
I didnt know about OffensiveDefense until I got to him either
but that's like a core mechanic
how did you even get through the game without parrying?
Parry != OffensiveDefensive
You can play the whole game up until Armstrong without OffensiveDefensive
I havent even reached him yet, I am stuck on this faggot, he is literally fucking invincible.
I'm not , but I did have the same problem - and OD isn't the same as parry, parry involves pushing the stick toward the enemy and pressing light attack to perform a counter, like using Moon of Mahaa-Kala in Bayonetta or Hero Counter in W101. OD is pressing jump/light attack simultaneously to do a dodging attack, like the Fade Slash in Monster Hunter.
I wouldn't have had this issue if they just told me the controls for each move on the purchase screen in the shop instead of hiding them in the Help menu.
You can beat him without even playing the Blade Mode minigame just by using OD to dodge everything. He's by far the most straightforward boss, shame they put him at the end of an otherwise shitty level.
Wouldn't have this problem if I didnt have to buy skills
I dont like the "buying skills" part of Platinum games
But that's nowhere near as bad as having a stupid combining weapons system Transformers had
>if I didn't have to buy skills
Well what the fuck else are you spending your money on, health upgrades?
nothing!
Screw buying skills and screw using items. Let me kickass on my own, and dont require specific skills to beat Senators
This is a minor complaint btw, i fucking loved MGRR
>nothing!
God damn nigga you could at least buy a skin or something so you can die over and over with a little style.
A lot of people consider your first playthrough of any Platinum game just to be a tutorial, you git gud when you move up to Hard, and then the game throws you a giant middle finger with Infinite Climax/101% Hard/Revengeance where they just shake up the mechanics on you for shits and giggles, and then you have to REALLY git gud.
You might be right.
The buy system makes for a good tutorial system, giving you skills one at a time so you can learn it, memorize it, and acknowledge it's existance.
You gotta use nanomachines, son
git gud
>hear senator armstrong is a tough boss
>get hyped as fuck for him on my first playthrough
>win the fight without dying even once
If you have the same problem as me, it is literally impossible. There's a bug with specific resolutions on PC and it makes the prompts to blade time into the "cut up the meteor" parts non existent.
