suck him dick
i'd a la in her vache
Return the game because its shit.
Is Magnolia the best Bravely? I think so.
Give her a flower
make the sex
Yeah, I'd return a game too if it brought its shit.
I don't get why people didn't like it. The story wasn't any worse than the last game, but the gameplay was way better.
Offer my balls? Idk, I've never played BD.
pretty much this, I don't know what people were expecting.
First game had shock factor, felt like an exciting twist on the most boring tropes.
Second game wasn't a departure from the genre like the first, felt like retreading old ground until the second half.
Also no more Linked Horizon
Only real complaint I can see is the way the returning Asterisks were handled. You could get some seriously lopsided options depending on your choices. There should have been a solid "tank" role among the earlier story bosses, for example, because if you skip swordmaster for summoner, which you SHOULD because summoner is OP in Second, you have no one to tank for your party for like 3 more chapters, when you have to choose between Knight and Ninja, and you SHOULD choose Ninja, because Ninja OP.
Of course once you hit the second to last chapter none of that matters.
Tell her that I'll help if I can bust my balls inside her.
Honestly, story wise the second game was way less frustrating too. The entire story could have been resolved in 1 before the end of the first chapter if any number of characters had bothered having a goddamned conversation at any point. In the second game it was a bit annoying chasing the Skyhold around but the story wasn't leaning so incredibly hard on something so stupid like in the first game.
As someone who picked both Knight and Sword master the first time round, I can say that tanks are completely unnecessary. They're just another way to play. Enemies would routinely attack around my countering Samurai and defaulting Knight.
You poor bastard. The game must have taken 5 times longer without summoner and ninja.
I don't regret going summoner and ninja first playthrough due to the stupidly high damage output, but my characters were getting routinely one shot if I wasn't finishing battles in 1 turn. Glass cannon characters really showed how glass cannon they were early game.
YOU KNOW WHAT I WAS EXPECTING?
FUCKING BA'ALS
INSTEAD WHAT I GOT WAS GENEOLGIAS SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT AT EVERY FUCKING DAMN SECOND
I WANTED EVERY CHAPTER TO END FIGHTING A NEW BA'AL
NOT WITH A BLOO BLOO BROTHER DENNIS or KILL ME YEW WHY ARE YOU SUCH A PUSSY REEEEEEE EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME
EVEN THE FUCKING POST-GAME WAS NOTHING BUT DID YOU KNOW THE GENEOLGIAS DID EVERYTHING THAT EVER MATTERED AND THEY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT SUPER DUPER GREATEST EVER AND DINDU NUFFIN?
FUCK YOU TEAM B
I WANTED BA'ALS TO BE THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE GAME
INSTEAD THEY ALL WERE RELEGATED TO FORTE LUNE WHICH IS FUCKING STUPID BECAUSE UNLESS YOU GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BEAT THEM IN THE DAMN OPTIONAL CONTENT YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND HALF OF THE FINAL DUNGEON
FUCK YOU
You think it was cool how at the end of the 4th chapter after you "fail" that random battles all become Baals only? I thought that was cool.
If you didn't think this was the tightest shit get out of my face.
His party is so suboptimal that it hurts me inside.
>tfw DeRosso is dead
What are the most bullshit set ups in BS?
I miss the final boss-rush from Default in Second. I'm talking about those battles where you fight strong combinations of asteriks holders group after group.
There are a couple. Quad wielding, mass attack ninjas are probably the MOST OP, but its a dangerous setup. Basically win in 1 turn or you lose.
Quad or triple wield ninjas with multitask and shamanism secondary for "ignore physical defense" and adding an element for 50% increased damage from elemental boon are the strongest physical setups that aren't super dangerous.
Triple Ghost youkai spamming rain meteor with an invincible tank is the most face roll though. Damage is insane and its almost impossible to die.
Chaining Guardian and Astrologian with Group-Cast All to basically completely negate any and all damage.
Stab her to death and steal her asterisk.
>mega_magic.png
Yeah, I almost miss them.
Kaiser class is worth it though
Characters were way worse. Plot twist was better.
>his name is Denys
>he denies everything
I get it now
I hear it's nonstop food talk. It that true?
Its a major topic in the optional tent conversations but not too common outside of them.
Unfortunately yes, Edea got flanderized down to a fat hungry bitch, she really had no reason to be in this game. And yet she was the face of every sidequest.
Magnolia was alright.
What's the twist in this one?
There are a couple.
This is the "big" one, but you won't understand why its a twist without playing it.
I heard something about the game breaking the 4th wall again. Does it have to do with the title again?
I don't feel like getting the game; I got burned out on the first one and stopped during the infamous retread section. I heard this one is better but I'm holding out for ZTD first.
>tfw you'll never have an omnicidal eldritch fairy help you achieve your life's goals
I felt Airy was more cold and calculating while Anne did nothing to mask what she was up to. Airy's betrayal of the party was a dagger in their back, but Anne's reveal that she was the fairy that recruited you in Bravely Default was more of an attack on the player
Final Anne > Perfect Airy
>played a bit of Bravely Default
>got to the part where some giant light beam appears
>go into it
>"lol Black Knight fag is alt. universe Ringabel. Shocking, right?"
>game's universe reset or some shit. Alt universe now
>"hurr durr, what was that about? Who was that guy again?"
>forced to do NG+ basically
>mfw
I quit that shit because it was so damn retarded. Did I miss out?
Does this bitch have some funky shit with her wings too?
in Bravely Default she has a -1 on her wings. in Second she has the black ones from that picture. I'm kinda disappointed they did nothing with that
You did. Vampire Castle is GOAT sidequest. Also, the final chapter is great. I wasn't a fan of groundhog day either, but bearing through some of the repetition is worth it.
Skip chapter 5, just go straight to the temples. Do sidequests in subsequent chapters. Kind of tedious, but once you're past all that you're rewarded with an awesome endgame.
You could optionally break the crystal, and have a less satisfying endgame. It's your choice.
If you want to get spoiled
You spend the first 4 chapters chasing after the "big bad". At the end of the 4th chapter, you finally catch up to him, but its too late, and he finishes his plan and gets away for good. The moon gets destroyed, time stops, and every random battle becomes near impossible boss level enemies. Basically the world ends. The NPCs in the game get new dialogue that STRONGLY hints at using the battle only BRAVELY SECOND feature, except there aren't more battles except these random battles it doesn't do anything special for.
The game also unlocks New Game Plus. The TWIST is that upon starting that new game plus, you start back the start of the game, which happens to be a boss fight AGAINST the "big bad" of the game, and if you USE Bravely Second, your entire party gets summoned in and buffed to where they were before you started the "New Game Plus" and the game switches to chapter 5 where you actually fight the boss RIGHT AT THE START OF THE GAME before he can do anything for his plan. Its actually really neat when you think about it.
Storywise it works because BRAVELY SECOND is made possible through a special item that essentially stores memories and lets you mess with time to a small extent. By using it right at the start of the game, you actually implant all the memories everyone had at the end of chapter 4, into EVERYONE (even town villagers) at the start of the game.
youtube.com
its not as good as Serpent Devouring the Horizon, but I feel its a powerful entry. Second's OST gets a lot of flack for NOT REVO, but the battle themes are downright excellent. Diamante's Theme, the final boss fights and yes, i even like Anne's theme
Might try it out again, cause I think I remember that Vampire Castle.
And one question about those crystals that you had to spam a button to start up. What would happen if you just kept spamming it despite what Airy says? Breaks?
And whats a good party set up?
swordmaster/pirate is good. spiritmaster breaks the game. ninja/salve maker
as for the crystal, go on and try it. do you have the courage to disobey what is expected of you? to Bravely Default on your responsibility in order to do the right thing?
Interesting stuff. I definitely would have missed out on the Bravely Second feature because I never used that time stopping ability in the first game. Is there any more significance to the moon? Or to the subtitle, End Layer?
If I told you, it would be a major spoiler, are you sure you want to know?
Good party setup? White mage+spirit master, Arcanist+black mage are ones I can think up off the top of my head. Grind spirit master and you've got some real useful abilities like fairy ward and stillness. Stillness is probably the most broken, as it eliminates damage for everyone, including the enemy.
Ah yes, and as the other user said, swordmaster/pirate. Free lunch is a Godsend, a Godsend I tell you.
Dark Knight/Spell Fencer is fun stuff.
Cast Drain then spam Dark Bane until everything dies. Even better, have Enigma up then spam Dark Nebula. Health never drops because you get it back with drain and Adversity still kicks in because your attacks took off health.
The moon is what allows time to flow apparently. The End Layer is a world in which nothing changes. Anne's ultimate goal is to make Luxendarc the End Layer
would you say you wanted Ba'als in your face?
Cool, after I finish DMC3 I'll start it back up and grind those jobs.
Another setup I like is 4x Valkyries with Hasten World active. High Jump on the first turn and murder everything and jump back up. If you outspeed the enemies then you can theoretically finish the fight unscathed,
get to chapter 6. get the 'final' asterisk. you'll know which one. it has a passive ability that lets you instantly kill mobs 20 levels lower than you. once you get that, head to the half ice/half grass island northeast of Florem and grind on mushrooms
Vampire is a pretty fun job too. It's been a while but I remember doing some cool shit with it. I know the groundhog day shit is annoying, and I was quite bothered by it, but fighting the asterisk holders is worth it for experience.
Just tough some of it out and you'll thank yourself later. Personally, I skipped chapter 8, and it didn't really affect me, but some say that there's really neat fights where asterisk holders team up and fight you. It's up to you. I would say do at least some of it, but you can absolutely skip chapter 5, it's pointless to go through it all again as its literally the exact same thing as the first 4 chapters.
Its faster to grind in the inner Florem Garden with it. The chompettes give massive JP.
I go to the hot springs get BP effect boost and go to the berserker slings near the exit. make sure you do a lot of damage.
>swordmaster/pirate
Only good if you want to use the counter abilities, in which case Swordmaster/Performer is better.
Pirate/Swordmaster however, is good.
I wish this song wasn't just relegated to those Nemesis battles.

The final boss fight shatters the 4th wall in a way that would make Undertale jealous. But that's major spoiler territory.
well default did that before undertale, so fuck undertale
The 4th wall break with the final boss fight in Default is child's play compared to the one in Second.
Defaults 4th wall is only scratched on compared to what seconds final boss does to it
yeah it breaks the fourth wall, BS really makes the player feel like an Olympian God.
Obliterate makes that pointless. You instant win so you don't need BP. Otherwise, pheonix down halfsies in Stark Fort or whatever on the floor with only undead.
Does BS have a way to get ez money like in BD?
true but it was a lead up to this reveal. Third game will add more of it I hope.
but you don't get extra battle bonuses that's why I do it
I leveled all classes to 11 and I'm still short about 2 million pg to buy everything
Tell her how she was rewritten is the reason this game was garbage.
You still get more JP per minute. Its just so much faster.
Was he switched for Edea or something?
who knows
Fairly efficient ways yeah.
gamefaqs.com
Not super fast compared to how fast the costumes are though.
No. The entire story gets upended and the catalyst that causes Yew's development are removed if Janne is one of the main 4
Not as good as stealing elixirs but it should be enough.
Also, is it worth going through the demo before jumping in BS?
Not really. You get 5 villagers a day just for uploading, which is plenty unless you want to bea tthe game in a day.
it gives a bit of insight on the Three Cavaliers, and you get a small headstart on healing items. If you clear the entire demo, you'll fight a boss that is also a boss in the main game so you get that experience
How long is the demo?
>we were originally going to get Janne as a party member and anisama would be the final asterisk holder
>instead we got fucking edea and worthless fencer
i got about 4 hours out of it. could probably make it 6 or more if you decided to 100% it
but it has no bearing on the main story, and you won't miss anything if you don't play it
Fantastic, I'll skip it and dive into BS then.
>denys
beware the death troll
S-spread my legs and ask her to be gentle.
>no long haired swordsman
>no braid
>no smartass party member
>no one to actually push Yuu into character development
>no fun sword fight cutscenes (we only got fucking one)
what were they thinking
Yew's character went just fine. And the long haired swordsman is something best left out imo
>breaking the crystal
>Airy imploring you to stop
Get fucked bitch, I'm tired of your shit.
she's just misunderstood
She's a whiny cunt, I can't wait to beat her sister's face in too.
Drop the gravy.
>spam Dark Bane
>not Black Bane and then Rage for 8 fucking hits in one turn
Too bad Dark Knight was heavily gimped in Second. Still good but the amount of support he needs makes him meh compared to a lot of other builds.
I have a theory Yulyana is Appleberry. He went to the moon.
I felt kind of bad for him. Hopefully the sword of the brave can rip through dimensions and Yew can reunite his brother again. Also, Yoko's supposedly brother resembles Deny's
Next game?
>Bishop
I wonder what the original plan was?
>Fencer outfit
I could see an asterisk holder become a player.
What's the point of CG?
fancy intro
uncanny valley
tricking us into thinking we'd get Janne and bear bro as party members instead of the shit we got
>OO-RAH-BOO-RUS
Yoko's 'brother' looked like Denys just to fuck with Yew. Thats sorta her thing
