Sword - Arm blades
Bomb - Missles
ESP - MAgnetic/psychic power fields

Haltmann is prone to stealing others' technology and producing his own versions. I doubt a single thing his company makes is unique. He may have come across Neo Star and studies Pix design, he may have ran into the engineers that designed HR-H after they were forced to leave Earth, and bought its blueprints, he could have stumbled across Egg Engines and reverse engineered some of the shit there. Haltmann sits atop an empire a petty crooks, thieves, and grunt workers, not gifted engineers or scientists.

Dream Land, Adventure, Dream Land 2, Dream Land 3, and Kirby 64 do set up some really interesting lore, to be fair. It's pretty stagnant and self-referential these days, very little of what's added is actually totally and unconnected to anything to build more strong lore.
