SMT: Nocturne

Has this game aged well?

I played it last year but stopped because it felt like I could fuck up my character at any moment of the game.

Hell no

Hell yeah.

Guess I'll work on persona instead : /

It's a really good game but I would recomend playing on a emulator (and normal mode unless u really know what you're doing) as some of the mechanics are incredibly unforgiving and you can lose a lot of progress if you're just using the normal save system.

...

Try giten megami tensei also

Fuck these images are cancer

Sounds like good advice, I really want to give it a second try, but I always find myself running towards a FAQ when I hit a wall, my biggest issue about this game is that your move set is basically set in stone when you commit to it.

I've got some more, yeah.

So what level did you guys make it to before looking up a guide?
I got to 7

My only real problems are the save system, encounter rate, and dumbass random skill assignment on demon fusion. Everything else is great.

Good lord Sup Forums is really fucking bad at video games. Just go play Persona 3 instead.

...

The moment i saw there were more than 10 I immediately looked it up

There's nothing wrong with savescumming in Nocturn
There's not really any reason to need to look at a FAQ though, with the sole exception of Puzzleboy

How low can you go
You even have the tendency to call Not going to a FAQ ON THE FIRST PLAYTHROUGH bait ?
What the fuck is wrong with you ?
Is this the neo Sup Forums they've been talking about ?

Enjoy

He posts as he downloads PCSX2 and a txt file.

The fact that you're even emulating the game instead of playing it on a real PS2 or PS3 is bad enough to call you a massive faggot. Save scumming is just the worst of the worst though.

Graphics are nice because of art direction.
Battle system is still solid, most SMT games after use a variation of the Press turn system.
Only Issue is the fusions, as not being able to choose what skills to transfer can severely increase the time you spend trying to get the right set of skills.

Don't look up a faq to experiment with fusions though you'll make Sup Forums mad.

Stop posting.

Its not that hard to build your demifiend well, go for a physical build and you'll be fine, for spells, just make sure you get focus and don't get rid of it. Everything else is pretty hard to fuck up.

Focus and Fog Breath are the two skills you should always have.

Yes the MC skill choices are very unforgiving. I would suggest avoiding FAQ as much as possible but I appreciate when there are so many games to play and you only have so much time that sometimes it's worth using one.
