Maybe this
I've had an old 3DS and played several games on new3DS.
Honestly there isn't much reason to switch. Especially for the price tag. Most games don't see any benefits for being on new3DS. A few games have higher framerate which is nice but isn't worth that huge extra cost. VERY few games load in only slightly better textures like MH4U which, again isn't worth the extra cost and the exclusives are shit you could get elsewhere for better.
On top of this, the new Monster Hunter Gen. game is capped at 30fps and has identical visuals on both systems and very seldom ever dips below 30fps on old3DS. It was much better optimized than 4U in that regard. The only difference is the rendering distance is a little bit further on new3DS. If any of this really bothers you that much then go ahead and buy it. But the pricetag is wholly unjustified for such small improvements.
