is the 1070 DOA? how do you justify paying almost twice as much for like 15% more performance?

Explain the "delete this" meme
I have the money.
Why are you so mad about that?
Hello?
You might be paying less but you'll never have drivers or support.
I really wish AMD cards had something like shadowplay. Being able to record something that happened a minute ago has been a godsend, no more missing nice/funny moments.
I'd honestly change over if there was software like that.
Hello?
AMD put it between the 970 and 980.
>previous gen performance for less
WOW IT'S ALMOST LIKE BUYING A SECOND HAND CARD BUT I WON'T BE MADE FUN OF FOR BEING POOR
Nvidia drivers have been shitting the bed and AMD drivers are doing very well this past year ever since AMD started investing more heavily in driver support
Hello?
I think they have raptr or something like that but I don't know how good it is.
they actually said it performed like last years $500 cards, and the WSJ says it performs like a 980/Fury
I feel like I've seen this thread before. Dozens of times before.
dude..com on we all know thats just word of mouth bollocks ..seriously dude
they have plays.tv though raptr. its kind of a bitch to get set up. but its records pretty high quality without any loss in performance
Actually, their encoding can be accessed through OBS.
But can it record the past?
Hello?
You can setup replays in both OBS and raptr.
Raptr is still shit
I don't know what that is. How autistic do you have to be to recognize video cards at a glance?
If it isn't nvidia I won't buy it though. Made that mistake once and only once.
>I don't know what that is
>I'll just buy Nvidia anyway lol
sounds about right
>>performs like a 980/fury
in CFX*
Out of the box single card
You must not keep up with the hardware news
>you can setup replays in OBS
Mind telling me how? I have OBS installed and I didn't even know.
I swear the comparison for how it performs keeps going up every thread
Ever since I installed an update to the AMD drivers I've been getting these random screen flickers, mostly when using firefox. Its really fucking annoying. I don't know why people act like AMD drivers are fine now.
>how do you justify paying almost twice as much for like 15% more performance?
Nvidia cucks will find a way I'm sure
They just gotta wait for nvidias marketing department to invent something for them to repeat.
Hello silverstein
Will it outperform the 390?
Go into setting > video broadcast and you should have replay buffer length.
Click the small triangle button near start recording and you have the option to turn replay buffer.
Also setup save replay button to something unless you want to manually do it by going into OBS gui every time.
How many hours a day do they pay you for?
I have a 4gb 770
How does it compare? Should I upgrade?
Thanks a lot!
Hello?
only normalfags needs something like this
Performs like a 1080 in CFX, actually. Single GPU performs like a 980/Fury.
I fucking hate this board but sometimes man... sometimes
Is this thing on?
For one game that was designed specially for AMD GPUs.
>AMD put it between the 970 and 980.
*980 and Fury
No problem. Just watch out the buffer length because in my branch of OBS at least it saves replay to RAM.
This is true. But at least the claim is accurate in one scenario. Cherry-picking, as opposed to the other guy's claim that the 480 can only hit 980 levels in Crossfire, which is an out-and-out lie.
I have an r9270 what do I upgrade to
Nah. 3dmark leaked crossfire was also slightly below 1080 and I remember it having slight Nvidia preference.
AoS gets you pretty similar benches to most DX12 stuff.
>It's better than the fury, why would you buy a 1070?
Because it's a lot more powerful than this?
Nvidia is for those who want a premium experience. AMD is for poorfags.
This is a standard feature in Windows 10 no matter what video card manufacture you have
>no benchmarks
>believing PR hype
Hey guise remember when the 1080 was twice as powerful as a Titan X?
It will outperform the 390X and 980.
>how do you justify paying almost twice as much for like 15% more performance?
Because they have a 1440p monitor where the 1070 will likely have more of an advantage compared to 1080p and there doesn't exist a better solution for that kind of money?
It actually had that AoS benchmark and 3dmark leaked benchmark. AoS benchmark result is pretty much in line with what 3dmark shows considering AoS is more of AMD territory and 3dmark is more favorable to Nvidia.
>believing just ONE benchmark
Cmon now.
raptr is shit but if you install plays.tv separately (not part of the driver install) it works surprisingly well
Hello?
Its an "internet meme", modernly known as "maymay" on Sup Forums where people are in a ironic way mimicking the way famous people and companies who try to delete things on the internet that they don't want people to know about, often its about stuff that is sensitive and could damage their reputation and business.
In these examples with GPU and console fags its about business competition, where posters pretend to be a "shill" or a "fanboy" by posting "delete this" in response to news that either benefits the implied opponent or sets themselves back (as in, bad news for themselves).
In practice its used to admit defeat for the loosing side in the competition.
>how do you justify paying almost twice as much for like 15% more performance?
We don't know the performance yet. All we know is what they said it was, and that
>b-but they're not as bad as Nvidia! AMD can do no wrong!
Just because Nvidia is a shithead company doesn't mean its competitors are saints.
Two actually. Results seem to confirm each other so no reason not to believe any, just keep in mind which one would usually prefer which cards.
>Hey Bill, you leak that benchmark yet?
>No sir, I wanted to make sure it was actually in line with what the card could actually do
>What the fuck are you doing that for? You're fired. Dan get in here. See this chart? Leak it to the internet.
actually it's just falseflagging
>it's not in the hands of anyone really trustworthy yet
Remember the early 1080 benchmarks were retarded too then a few weeks later the truth was revealed. Seriously, stop being a fanboy, both companies do this shit.
Hello?
or both
Shitposting
No it isn't, it's from this
youtube.com
I remember at most Nvidia's retarded charts (not benchmarks), or just cherry picked games.
It's hard to cheat on 3dmark.
If I wanted last gen performance I'd buy a last gen card. Fuck off poorfag.
>3DMark benchmarks meaning anything
Cmon now. Stop being so Sup Forums
How much more performance will I get in Bloodborne?
I hope you realize this will be inside PS4K.
Sony will literally outperform 99% of gaming PCs this time.
They literally mean something, not 1:1 scaling to actual games but the cards got realistic result in line with what AoS is showing.
You need a PS4 Neo for that, poor bitchboi
>how do you justify paying almost twice as much for like 15% more performance?
You don't but people still buy the flagship models. People still respect Nvidia after 3.5 so meh
It literally means nothing. Real world performance never reflects 3Dmark benchmarks.
>no benchmarks from verifiable sources
>YOU MAD YOU MAD
fucking christ
Because it doesn't make sense. FPS/$ is much worse, buy people are still willing to pay. It's like those apple fags - people will pay 200% price for the same hardware just...
Only retards buy budget cards, only to have to replace it 18 months later. Invest in a good card that will last you a good 5 years.
Now fuck off, AMD shill.
Nvidiots were proclaiming the death of AMD with the 1080 and 1070 with just one chart - not even a specific benchmark, just Nvidia's claimed relative performance chart for the 1080, and literally nothing for the 1070. Did you expect AMDummies to behave any better? Especially when they have two benchmarks to rub their dicks on, as opposed to none.
3D mar scores are only for e-peen user
Real world performance is not measured by that score.
You realize that both AMD and Nvidia have to specifically write drivers for every benchmark program right? And every benchmark has to be static to provide repeatable results right?
Now put those two things together and then think about how benchmark programs actually matter.
It does though. If a card scores twice less in 3dmark the likely it won't suddenly dominate the other card in any game. You can have weaker 3dmark card defeat a stronger 3dmark card but huge gaps are just huge gaps even if games make them less.
I still run a 460GTX on Win7.
Is it time to upgrade?
Ignorant Cucks like you are what's wrong with the industry. At least have decency to look shit up instead of being proud of your ignorance
No user you have no idea what you are talking about. There is a reason reviews tend to just show games over benchmark scores, because that's what actually matters.
I'm just telling you to fucking brace for impact nigga. Stop getting hype for a fucking brick of technology.
I don't care who wins or loses, I care about fucking numbers. Verified numbers.
That's literally my 7870
You are dumbasses because you don't realize that both games and benchmarks generally make GPUs do pretty similar thing. You can compare 3dmark benchmarks to general in game performance (which varies depending on the game) to see if for example given benchmark is usually rough for give card series and extrapolate general performance from that.
>1 cent has been deposited in your GTX 1080 fund
>how do you justify paying almost twice as much for like 15% more performance?
By having disposable income.
>480 does as advertised
>Nvidia is forced to financially compete and lower prices
>480 does terrible
>Nvidia locks a monopoly and prices continue to creep up
If you buy Nvidia and hope for these cards to fail you are a retard
>loosing
If I buy a $200 card today I can sell it for $100 a year later, and get the next $200 card for $100.
If I buy a $700 card now, I'll need to replace it in 3 years but by then it'll also be worth only $100 at best.
That, and high-end cards are often 10% better only for 50% more cost.
Midrange cards are simply more worth it.
...
You have no idea what you are talking about you fucking retard. Relative performance in 3dmark generally covers to a decent degree with relative performance of given cards in other games especially if you average the results.
except as long as nvidia keeps getting in bed with developers and they keep going for their tessellation tech only their cards can handle.
That AMD card actually looks good. I definitely have to wait to see what some real world game performance looks like. Coming from a GTX 780 I'm sure I'd win either way. Unfortunately, Nvidia is just so much better at getting in bed with the developers for gameworks options and well... it is something to think about.
It says "Radeon" on it. AMD has only announced 1 new GPU in the last several months, and the $200 price is a major reason why it's been getting so much attention. Everyone else has been paying attention to industry news and/or noticing the discussion on this board and others.
They'd have to be autistic not to infer what video card it is.
Its sad that this needed to be explained
DEEEEEEEEEEE
LEEEETEEEEEE
THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISS
Nobody cares how close or cheap the silver medal is.
After you're done with that cookie, don't be shy about coming over here and having my Peenus spoonfed to you, you fucking degenerate weeb. And if there's one thing I know about degenerates like you, then you probably like to put ellipses into your cutesy little roleplaying; so here it is, open your mouth wide and say "Awwww," you fucking weeb.
