Low difficult

>Low difficult
>Very few combos
>That retarded pissing and shitting attack
>No transformation or berserk mode

Those aren't even the biggest problems with it though. It's weaker than most Zeldas in most ways.

You had me at
>No transformation or berserk mode

Seeing all the awesome shit younger you could do and you can't was awful.

Yeah I agree, Hyrule Warriors is pretty bland

>Those aren't even the biggest problems
name them

fucking hell user, how can you not mention the shit dungeons?

And yet I love Okami and could never get into zelda games.

>It's weaker than most Zeldas
straight BS

and to add, the fields were very empty while the towns were fine
also only 3 weapons with just variations of elementals
i also found the puzzles to be ridiculously shallow that the game didnt even need me to tell me
also fuck that third rock monster where i need to tap the back
I SPENT AN HOUR ON THAT SHIT
you didnt like ocarina?

>game didnt even need me to tell me
game didnt even need to tell me*
who the producer again? he needs to just stay making action games

It was because you didn't have enough prayer from your citizens within your own time.

Shiranui had a shit ton of believers.

Yeah I remember but still. It's like there is a supporting NPC in a Mega Man X game that had a suit better than your endgame gear because he is from the future where everyone has sick gear.

did the final boss give you any new moves?
amaterasu was all prayers at that point

no, it just made you stronger.

have you played zelda lately?

Okami shits all over SS and TP

>that final boss with issuns monologue to make everyone pray for you

Maybe it was because I didn't have an n64 when I was young so I dont have the nostalgia factor, but of the ones I've tried (MM, WW, OoT) only WW managed to keep my attention for longer than an hour or two, and I dropped WW a bit after I got the master sword. I have watched some LPs of them to try, and MM did have a lot of cool stuff but someone with no prior knowledge and no guide (IE me) would have missed 60% of it.

I dunno they just felt arbitrary and simplistic. Like the game was just going down a check list going "Ok, hookshot, check. Bow, check. Plant dungeon first, check." etc etc. Okami kind of does that but at least it's the really unique brush mechanic, and the aesthetics is amazing. The dungeons have character instead of just being "a dungeon to spelunk".

I dunno. I feel like zelda at this point is made for people who have the nostalgia for zelda already. I dont have that so it never clicked.

Made it all worth it all.
the game helped alot with depression

Only time I cried because of a videogame

The final boss went on wayyyyy too fucking long.

As much as I love Okami, it's way more repetitive than just about any Zelda and the pacing is definitely slower in Okami than two of the three Zeldas you mentioned (third being debatable).

I just replayed this a couple weeks ago and some friends were watching the ending with me and I had to keep myself from bursting into treats

>mfw the Wii box has IGN's watermark on it because the schmuck who made the boxart just saved it from IGN's site

>also fuck that third rock monster where i need to tap the back
>I SPENT AN HOUR ON THAT SHIT

Yeah, everyone did. I agree with your points, though I do think that the game is still pretty great overall. Cute story/characters, fun gameplay, nice aesthetics, lengthy, full of content.... Has a lot of stuff that makes it out to be a fantastic game. It's battle system could be a bit better, though. At least it was different.

>but someone with no prior knowledge and no guide (IE me) would have missed 60% of it

That whole point is that yes, it contains tons of shit that is actually difficult to find.

> but at least it's the really unique brush mechanic

There is little especially interesting about the brush mechanics. Zelda really encourages you to experiment with how you interact with space and time using your abilities in ways that you pretty much won't find in anything else. Okami is way more Simon Says with how you actually apply your techniques most of the time.

I said most. TP is an outlier.
