The original looks better.
Literally no planes look like that
there's a dead pixel right there
I don't also get to fuck revolver ocelot in a cardboard box
psp
Hd edition
too much grind
The post zeke content is a hellish grind.
No moving corpses in a stealth game.
There should be blue skulls and dissappearing KO guys in the vehicle missions, since having to fulton everyone is keen to artificial difficulty. Specially in the later ones with 40 or so guys, which are clown rides.
Guards AI could be better.
Some unskippable cutscenes (end mission ones like vehicles or mechs being destroyed) hurt the grinding.
It could use a couple more scenarios.
I think that's it. The plot is the only decent thing Kojima has written since MGS 3. At the very least it keeps itself grounded without resorting into nanomachines, parasites and whatnot. I found the game to be pretty enjoyable.
The fact that the HD version wasn't released on the Vita.
The whole game is a flaw in perspective of the whole series.
>Can't crawl
>Fulton removes any challenge
>Grinding for Zeke parts
>Zadornov escaped for the 7th time while you were away doing shitty missions
>Not much of a reason to use anyone but Big Boss
Also, I didn't think that the tapes were a good replacement for codec.
The boss fights are terribly boring
You pretty much have to play it co-op, if you're playing it offline, you can't get the full experience. This also means you cant watch cutscenes half the time even on your first playthrough because you'll be holding your matchmaking partner up who more than likely is trying to skip.
small maps. Not a lot of good stealth sections.
I really liked it, I thought it's story was pretty great. It's everything Phantom Pain should have been.
The boss AI is retarded. Futuristic technology in the 70s is retarded. Hot cold man is a retarded name. Comic book cutscenes are ugly. Biss fights are boring. Crouch walk is way too overpowered as is the fulton. Having to play way to long after the story ends to get the true ending. Codecs official dead to be replaced by inferior cassette tapes. Graphics are awful, enemy AI isn't great either. Too easy to play as a shooter
Bosses have 50 gorillion HP.
I had no friends to play co-op with so I never played until the HD edition
>Shoot something with three rockets
>Barely any health loss
y
Except the ai is full retard and the gameplay is subpar. It was my least enjoyable mgs
A lot of grind
Bad controls on the PSP
unfitting final boss music
Seriously? This is the worst MGS. It introduced the worst elements of the series: grinding and fulton. Being able to get rid of enemies with no trace very simply and non-lethally killed any semblance of difficulty.
It is an MGS game
At least it had a story, fun side ops and was actually finished, unlike TPP
It's a nuke u dip
Not enough tapes to listen to so I can pretend all the one dimensional anime characters are my friends for longer
The game design fucks you up if you're already used to previous MGS. I return to it often and still struggle to get used to the way it plays.
I stopped playing once I got to "grind to build Zeke part"
Side ops are fun, 60fps is pretty good aside from codec speed-up, Monster Hunter ones are hard as fuck and I didn't even beat the first one with the dragon
I heard there's more content once you build Zeke, but nah m8 that's too much grind for me
>an MGS
>Monster Hunter ones are hard as fuck and I didn't even beat the first one with the dragon
casual
it is not a grind to build zeke at all, you just have to kill the AI a few times.
game was designed to be short and played in coop
- Lobotomized AI
- Linear level design with long sightlines that highlights AI blindness
- Way too many identical vehicle boss fights instead of actual mission-missions with varied objectives
- Skilled guards are always in the same spots which makes farming them too easy, yet mind numingly unengaging
- Tons of guns but game penalizes you for using them
- Tech-tree is bloated with duplicate guns with "tightened damage"
- Crapshoot Outer Ops
- No unique playable characters ala Portable Ops
- Completely batshit retarded codename system that is so batshit retarded that I can not even begin to explain why it's so batshit retarded
I could go on but many of the problems would require paragraphs of explaining and I can't be arsed. I LOVE Peace Walker as it is but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been better or that I'd go easy on it.
Che Guevara's blatant asslicking
Friend simulator with no worthwhile content
villain unironically named Hot Coldman
Learn the English language you fuckass
You use "an" for vowel sounds. "M" is pronounced "em" so you use "an".

mind = blown
>Not much of a reason to use anyone but Big Boss
>he doesn't have an S-combat 9999 health/psyche Engineer+Green Beret+Pro Wres Mania rank&file MSF soldier
Wew lad
No PC version ;_;
one thing i liked was the gerry anderson retro-future-tech
although i think in retrospect it could have done with more bleep bloop atari visuals representing the ai, and dialled back on the la, la laaa~ singing robots
>A lot of grind
literally none required, unless you're a braindead moron. I even tested this, replaying the plot alone in just under 30h, a month before release of TPP.
>Bad controls on the PSP
good thing OP posted the HD version
>unfitting final boss music
It fits like a glove.
Yanks just can't into melancholy and emotions in general. That's the whole reason Hans Zimmer is so overused nowadays.
I loved that stuff too.
Also, it was full of /k/ fanservice.
emulate it, scrub
>none required
>need to grind to build zeke
yeah right kid
Already finished it and played it again with 30/60 FPS code but I still want a native PC version.
I'm fucking sucks at aiming winth a controller. Playing MGS V with a mouse feel amazing as fuck.
>"need to grind to build zeke"
>he didn't get the required parts right off the bat
also playing through NEW missions, including Mk2 and Custom fights =/= grinding.
PERFECTION
Where to start?
>psp game
>"re rant the monstrau huntu audience" t. kojimbles
>le laaaaa lalaaaallalala super advanced robots
>muh boss is an ai!
>somehow the technology here shits all over the fucking metal gear from 2005 and gets even worse in 5
>le wacky human catapault!
>Also, it was full of /k/ fanservice
The amount of authentic detail they put into the guns with so few polygons and small textures is nothing short of astounding. This is some dedication to gun porn right here.
This song is really perfect.
my nigga!
>tfw unlocking FAL
>tfw blasting Vocaloid-droids with motherfucking MG3
>tfw unlocking goddamn Sturmpistole
>all that mid-Cold War oper8or gadgets, like fuckhuge laser sights
>tfw facing MBT-70 & KPz 70 tanks
My boner was diamonds. You can imagine my disappointment when I realized MGS5 didn't use real weapons.
Also, as a graphic designer, I simply adore the Kojima Productions' 3D models. They're so simple, yet absolutely beautifully created. The polycount is barely on par with Quake 3, yet the topology and detailing is miles above it.
Huey laughed at the Boss for believing in Santa Claus. What kind of idiot fucker would do that
>No crawl
>Shitty stealth because of small maps
>No Hard/Extreme Difficulty in story mode instead we get recolored Boss.
>Some maps are too small but empty. Some maps are too big and open.
oh fucc
thought it was a plane for half a decade
it actually could be a more abstract representation of the old bomber planes that used to carry atomic bombs, just placed in form of the Peace symbol.
Even if it would be just a nuke alone, it still goes well with the nuclear deterrent, "peace through superior nukes" -theme.
It's a MGS game. There, found the flaw.
