How are you enjoying Revelator so far? I was only able to mess around with Jam in training mode for a few minutes before work so I'll have to put more time in later tonight.

The game is fun. Online in Europe is dead unless you're in France though. People are waiting until it actually releases here before getting it I guess.

Should I buy this game?
I have been wanting to give guilty gear a try since SIGN came out but I haven't because my friends are all a bunch of casuals.
I have never tried to learn a "real" fighting game so I know I'll suck for a long while.
The problem is my friends are fags and I'm pretty sure there is no local scene.
I don't have the best internet either. Is the netcode good enough? Should I even bother?

Woah there friend, no need to get triggered. Having more options is never a bad thing, especially when a predecessor had dual audio available. It's a bit jarring the the sequel doesnt. Besides, I was curious about how they'd handle Jam's retarded dialog, now we'll never know.

Honestly it's a shame there's no English, it'll further curve the appeal of an already niche game

Why haven't you been playing Street Fighter? If you want to get the fundamentals of fighting games down, you shouldn't play a confusing complicated massive game like Guilty Gear.

Also, if you don't have a friend to play with and learn together with, you're most likely fucked.

Short answer: No

Long answer: If you can convince a buddy to learn the game with you it can be pretty satisfying, but that's a big if. I have pretty casual fighting game friends too, but making a drinking game out of it always helps people get into it. A drink for every match you win, eventually the playing field will even itself out

I'm having the same problem. Apparently, there's no GameStop in a hundred miles that has the game and I even checked a couple of niche local retailers just to be sure. I knew I should have pre-ordered the game on PSN.

Actually on the playstation blog one of the guys asked a question and the answer implies that Dizzy is going to be free for the first bit too when she's out.
