How old were you when you started gaming?

How old were you when you started gaming?

How old do you think you will be when you quit?

27 when I started gaming.

Dunno when I'll quit. I'm having the time of my life in the here and now.

How fucking old are you even?

Started gaming since I was 6.

Currently 25, will be 26 soon.
I don't see myself quitting ever, really. It's too popular now. That's like saying you'll quit movies or TV.

Are you me but slightly younger?

fourish

kind of now but i have some games i need to play. i even have some unopened games i bought like a year ago

>no time for video games
>rather post here

I've been playing since my 6 years, on a Texas Instruments home computer.
I'm on my 36 years old now... I guess I will keep playing until I cannot do it anymore.

28. I came here from reddit in 2015.

4 or 6. Was given a Sega Game Gear as a Christmas present and have been hooked since. Mostly PC gaming since 2002.

Started on a NES my Dad bought around the time I was born.
I'll stop when I can't play any more.

4 or 5 with Mario Bros 3.

Probably never.

when I was 3 I started playing Ultimate Domain with my dad, who was a huge faggot and always wrecked my shit with cannon rushes

fuck you dad

about 2 or 3 playing games with my dad

probably never though the last 5 years i've been getting bored of games i still play them to pass the time

Since I was 2, in 1985. I'll probably play games until I die, or at least until retirement age since my profession is also in video games, and I enjoy collecting a paycheck.

>started
Around 4 years old, when my dad played Galaga all the time

>when you quit
In my next birthday when I kill myself

i've played videogames my whole life as cliche that might sound, had an atari, then a c64, then an amiga and so on

as for the other question, my taste have heavily misaligned with the current market so i still play videogames but i haven't touched a console, handheld or AAA title in quite a while, i'll quit when things get worse but i'm not sure how worse they can do, the industry is surprising like that

Probably around 5-6 when I started using our home Macintosh, playng Baby Labyrinth and KidPix, and Lemmings. Still playing games on PC and pokemon games on 3DS, will probably play until I get kids, maybe until ~35.

Megaman 2 when I was four years old at a cousin's house.

However long I live unless I get some debilitating condition that prevents me from doing it.

Old men, running the world. A new age...

When i was 3. My first game probably was SF II, if i recall correctly. Been playing fighting games and video games in general ever since then.

>not playing video games with your kids

It's like you don't even want to be a cool mom/dad.

i played on some NES clone with my older brother when i was like 5 or 6 years old
i don't think i'll quit gaming at all

Started at 6. First game was Guerrilla War on NES thanks to my uncle.

Gonna turn 29 in a few months.
I don't think I'll ever quit, vidya its just too fun and we are still getting good games here and there, so I'm always expecting something new and wanting to play that.

I'm not sure. I remember playing games as far back as my memory goes so probably like four or five years old.

If I do ever quit, which I somewhat doubt I will, it'll probably when I'm in my late 20s early 30s. By then I'll be deep into my career and may not have time for vidya, or at least not enough time for it to be considered my main hobby. Especially since my favorite genre are RPGs which are known for being time sinks. But seeing as how I have very few other hobbies that even get close to vidya outside of maybe listening to music I doubt I'll ever outright stop.

Maybe if Persona 5 turns out to be shit. If that game comes out and is anything less than an 8/10 I'm gonna have to question my interest in this hobby.

I was five when I started

I'm thrirty two now...

I started far before I can remember starting. As for when I quit, I won't ever. I could enjoy the classics alone the rest of my life, regardless as to what innovations come to be in the future.

This world isn't interesting enough without them to keep me entertained.

8? 9? 10?

If I had to guess, I'd say I'll play vidya until I die, but I guess you never know.

Shit user...
Stearm it here pls

>5
Jesus christ I fucked that one up.
Meant 8

at least you are not one of those autistic faglords who try to force video games on their children

good on you for growing up and accepting responsibility

started when i was around 5. dad introduced me

i'll prob never quit desu

Started 6. 27 now.
Old habits die hard I guess.

I'll stop when games I like stop getting made.

Apparently my dad let me "play" NES when I was 2, but I don't really remember that obviously.

I'm 25 now and I'm getting tired of games. I can only play for about an hour before I get really bored.

The exception being really clever puzzle games, Dark Souls, and Overwatch

gonna post this on /r/Sup Forums brb ty :)

I started playing at age 2.

first game was dark castle.

I will never quit, but i take month long breaks here and there, in cycles to do other things. I might work out for a few hard months, or party/ club in the summer, paint and build relationships in fall. etc.

born in 88

Technically I guess I started around two or three. My dad had go on this tank game for the N64 and I remember I used to be all over that shit even though I didn't understand what the fuck was going on around me.

As for quitting? Listen to There's still enough half-interesting upcoming releases and already released games to prevent going completely cold turkey.
