It's made of wood. I found it was the easiest to work with.

I'm aware. It's just that I hardly think the keyblade turns into an incorporeal mass of energy when there's no keychain, so it's not unreasonable to speculate it has a "default" form

No, definitely not. Sheet metal is easy to work with, though I'm not as experienced with metal. But it isn't very heavy. The guard is made of pine, and the pole is made of cherry, so yes it does have a bit of weight to it.

I've always wondered the same thing. I wonder if they'll elaborate on it or just leave us wondering.

I think its a stoat. They're called ermines when their winter coats are white. Dunno why I named the file ermine. So, yes, it's some other kind of weasel, but also a baby. They are about half the size of bunnies.

I was asking what happens when you switch keychains. There's a small window where there's either no keychain or two keychains. Obviously it's falls under suspension-of-disbelief within the game, but it was a spitball type question.
