What was the point of this game?
The time powers had no real relevance to the overall narrative, it was just some random serial killer dude drugging people and you having powers for no explained reason.
The story had no actual message and the time shit was a just a gimmick.
At least in shit like Heavy Rain the beginning had a purpose and was relevant to the villains motivations, this shit had none of that, just some random stupid tornado.

The powers are more of a storytelling convention and not the main point, I liked the game and would play season 2 but the game suffers from not having any decent waifus

At the beginning most players feel safe with the teacher, nobody ever sees that shit coming.
We can all agree it was more of a TV show than a game though. The gameplay was playing I-Spy and walking, your choices don't even affect the end.

This is because of whatever reason they had to do a complete rewrite of the last episode.
Audio files show that Nathan had powers as well (as well as the clear foreshadowing of this in his psych evals and drawings you see when rummaging through his file in the office) there was also quite a lot of foreshadowing the Prescotts knew of the storm as well.
The Prescotts were mostly just one big red herring.
I think I prefered how it ended to Nathan having powers as well, because I was expecting something like that (well, rather, I expected Rachel to have had them)
