Give link to video.
Tick Tock Clock has stumped him it seems.
Makes sense seeing as it's VERTICAL and all.
He will master the vertical domain in due time. After all a few days ago he was showing how he raised scuttlebugs to vertical PUs to wall snap for extra height.
he's currently stuck on a pedro spot near a pendulum. it's got him stumped for months because he doesn't know how to reach it.
>the pole in the 2nd bowser level is the only thing between him and no a button any%
>Jumping backward into a ledge holding a bomb for 828 days makes it unable to explode
Nice buggy broken ass game, Nintendrones.
This would never happen with Sony.
What's a Pedro spot? Presumably he has a video on it, can you link it.
32 bits in my 64 bits vidya gaemu?
can someone explain?
I really want him to get past the Fire Sea Pole
well i can't find one video on it, but apparently it's a spot where you can get stuck and use it to glitch yourself to another point in the map.
how it glitches you revolves around being stuck between a floor hitbox and a ceiling hitbox, along with something to do with building speed or some shit.
he seems to see it as the current most effective source of saving A presses because it essentially takes you to the top of the level. stay tuned for more exciting developments!
How did the testing team not discover such a glaring glitch?
BUT FIRST
Really?
Nothing stops you from using 8, 16, or 32 bit numbers in a 64 bit system.
You need 70 stars to get to Bowser in the Sky. He can get 70 random stars without hitting A but NEEDS to get past that pole
>follow Mario around as his own personal butler
that's cute
It's funny how some of the simplest things are insurmountable while other impossible-looking stars have been 0xA for a while now.
Of fucking course he has a video. My god. Does he never step back and realize this is fucking pointless? He's not playing the game, he's doing this exploitations of the physics engines. But for what end? None of this matters. It's not even that interesting. It's just some game he played as a kid and became obsessed with.
but to answer that
This guy and his achievements truly are a testament to the power of autismal problem solving.
>Does he never step back and realize this is fucking pointless?
Says the one on Sup Forums
You could argue this about everything in life. Life by definition is meaningless. We just make life meaningful to us by choosing what we do.
It's a hobby, user. Deconstructing and picking apart a mechanical system, and then composing methodologies and solutions to self imposed problems. To him, it's fun.
Did he really wait 2 years?
yes
Do you take him as a liar?
probably sped up the in game clock through emulation
Doubtful. He's a TASer. He'll have either used emulator speed up's or just simulating the end values by hacking memory and then extrapolating the amount of time it would have taken from the tickrate of the game under normal conditions.
And instead he just focuses on TTC
If they wanted, they'd have had any% months ago
Now, you're probably wondering what I'm gonna need this Bob-omb for,
after all, I do let the fuse cook for over 19000 hours.
BUT TO ANSWER THAT
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT
PEDRO SPOTS_______
A bob-omb's fuse burns out before then.
You can't say you can cook it for 19000 hours!
I bet this guy could figure out the fucking RE7 demo
>Got the Impossible Coin
>Can't get past a pole
A FUCKING POLE
Autism, it's real, all of it
From his FAQ:
>Finally, I’d like to answer a question that I’ve been getting since the beginning, which is: Why? Why play the game with limited functionality? What’s the point of executing these complicated techniques when a simple A press would accomplish the same thing? Well, the answer is because it’s fun and interesting!
...
>Building up speed for 12 hours to hop between parallel universes
>Stalling a bob-omb's explosion for 828 days
Is there anything that Mario can't do in this game?
get off a pole without an a press
He got the coin in BitS?
Scuttlebug can hit Mario off of one if it's been raised high enough
There's a lot of shit that seems downright impossible without an A press.
Like, how the fuck is he going to whittle Wing Mario over the Rainbow to 0 A presses?
not in the Fire Sea
No, I mean the one in Tiny-Huge Island that no one could get for 18 years. The Mystery Goomba's coin is actually impossible.
obligatory
Can't he clone a bomb-omb or fire to the top of that pole?
Apparently everything he can use to get off the pole without jumping requires getting past the pole to begin with
Well fuck.
Would have thought you could do some shenanigans with the bullies in the same way you could with bomb-ombs.
You can slide all the way down a pole to get off
The point is to get off of the top of it
jesus fuck
I love how this video starts quite normal and then when you hear the YAYAYAYAYAYAYAHOOO you know shit is about to get crazy
he's persistent
i'll give him that
Tick Tock Clock is his biggest wall it seems, really reminds me of a mathematician slamming his head against a wall because he's so close yet so far from demonstrating an importat proprerty.
The only TAS I like better than this one is that Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance run that takes like 20 seconds.
>start video
>casually presses A like its no big deal
>closed video immediately
absolutely disgusting
Fermat's last bomb-omb.
I love that one!
youtube.com
>half of it is just him entering the castle
>not Fermat's Last A-Press
literally what it is for the any% run
>"I'm so tough I beat Red Coins on the Ship Afloat in 2 minutes"
>"Yeah, so?"
>"Without the ship"
>he raised scuttlebugs to vertical PUs
Pretty sure he just raised them normally senpai.
>that wall jumping
I need more of this
There's something so simple and beautiful about that escalation
>this was nearly a year ago and still no progress
youtube.com
Funny thing is that I didn't care about any of this, it was a fun novelty but ultimately I didn't see the appeal.
But that pole. That fucking pole. How could you ever stop an achievement this fucking fantastic with something so mundane, so droll?
>Mario has crossed into a QPU where bob-bombs take 1600 days to explode
>Half of the video is the credits
Fantastic
He raised them to a vertical PU because if they touched a wall there they'd snap to the actual wall in the level.
That sentence makes no sense.
From zero to bullshit in 6 coins.
Basically all of Stryder's other videos are more interesting, this is just a data overflow.
I honestly can't wait to hear what commentary he'd have for the zero A press run, assuming he can get past the pole one day.
>This seems rather normal
>One minute in
>Fucking pinball
That's amazing
So wait, did he somehow save his momentum from landing in the water with that backwards jump thing?
I bet he had a real blast discovering this.
Yeah, water for some reason saves your momentum, allowing for crazy shit like storing a speed and unleashing it elsewhere
Sure, just let me put my game-playing on hold for...what is that, two years and three months?...just to make a bomb not explode after thirteen seconds.
That fucking retard.
Neat
This is a total guess and I'm sure someone out there knows the real answer, but maybe it saves Mario's speed in water as a separate value from his speed out of the water.
There's an actual answer:
youtube.com
Oh, so if you make a movement that uses sliding speed for the calculations on something immediately after exiting the water, after storing a fucking absurd sliding speed, you just rocket off at that speed.
Makes sense
I've never played that game before, how does he do a combo that near insta-kills the final boss?
He's play as Maxim, a really fucking overpowered bonus character you unlock after beating the game
Harmony of Dissonance isn't exactly very hard in the first place
I see, that makes sense then
A lot of Castlevanias have at least one bonus mode like that where you get to play as some other character. Maxim mode or Richter mode are pretty much always game breaking
youtube.com
This one is less glitchy, but still cool
>i have no idea how computers work
>it's a hanzo, widowmaker, genji and tracer instalock episode
WHAT DO YOU DO
>some retard is saying it's fake and he hacked
>pannenkoek replies "it doesn't matter to me what you believe"
He may be an autistic fuck but I like his attitude
Clearly I choose mei, same as every other match.
i remember i could never figure out how to get the ship as a kid so i always did this
I don't get one thing about his QPU videos.
After building up speed for the 12+ hours, how does he initiate the actual "warp"? Like what stick movements or button presses does he make to go from "build speed" to "move"?
walls in the game are just a box that push you out if you try to walk in, with enough speed you can go right past their push-back area and straight through them
