You got me curious enough to download a GOG version and try it, and I had a blast for the last 40 minutes. I love the sound design and character designs, but the 30FPS lock is pretty fucking dumb for a game this fast-paced. Can it be unlocked?

whenever I play plant I use nothing but crossbow/bolt weapon types and when I use Y.V. I use maint shotguns and slugs, so those I guess.

I think the problem with gungeon is that unlike isaac, the chances of getting a crazy mix of items is not probable. With like 100 hours played, I've only gotten one run that actually had a cool synergy.

I personally feel Isaac is too reliant on RNG, and I hate that you need to use a wiki to know what the cryptic item descriptions actually mean. And that some items have side effects that literally make the game impossible (such as the cursed eye), which you wouldn't know, and possibly still won't know since it's not clear which item is teleporting you out of rooms.
I just got gungeon and I'm having fun so far, and I like the bullet hell much more since there's actually enough space and movement speed for it to be proper bullet hell. It's sort of like a mix of nuclear throne and Isaac, with rooms and floors, keys and chests and shops and incremental unlocks.
Nuclear throne is just about shooting things until they die, but I have 355 hours in it, so it's doing something right.
