Assassin's Creed 2 has you destroying a secret society responsible for your father's death. The kills come quickly but it's set up in a satisfying way. Not to mention the head honcho ends up becoming pope and you beat the shit out of him with your fists.

Edgy as fuck but at least Asscreed 2 managed to have a final boss.
