Metal is by-and-large the most interesting character design in the series. I love the giant turbine torso.

All of the classic Sonic characters have amazing designs imo. Though SA1 Sonic is still my favorite.

Loved this guy, both his regular form to his Resident Evil knockoff to his final form which SEGA tried to ape until colors.

Helps that he's based on best Godzilla monster

Nomura took over starting with FF7, Amano only does the logo designs now.

Could it be because of sameface or something? Personally, I think Toriyama is absolutely god-tier (or used to be) and I'm very picky.

I know most people hate it but I love Bowser's in game model in Mario 64. Looks so damn charming.

You're the first person I've ever seen who thinks Biolante is the best Godzilla rival.

Why do people dislike that movie? It's literally a perfect Godzilla movie.

Really hoping he at least has a similar personality to Cloud Then in the remake.

Still hype about xv though. Really like seeing traditional summons again. Ramuh was always one of my favorites, design wise.

Love the artwork from Lufia 2. It became far too anime with the remake. Also the remake itself was shit.

No, it sounds sort of similar, but it isn't the same.

I'm a sucker for Kunihiko Tanaka's character designs, shame they didn't really translate well in game though

Amano never worked at Square to begin with. He also didn't design the characters in FF1-6. The only thing he did was promotional artwork of the characters where he just drew them disregarding their actual in game designs that were already done by other artists and he drew them how he interpreted them. The only thing he designed that showed up in the games were his monster designs for FF1-4. Nomura did monster designs 5-8.

Kazuko Shibuya and Koichi Ishii did the actual in game character designs for FF1-5, Nomura did some in 5 like Gilgamesh and Exdeath, Nomura and Shibuya did the in game character designs for 6, then Nomura did 7, 8, 10, Hume, Elvaan and some antagonists in 11, main cast of 13, Type-0 and 15 while Ferrari did sub characters in Type-0 and 15.

By the game he's basically a mix of zack, bartz and Balthier. He's arrogant always charging head first into danger regardless of his actual strength, he's always making smart ass remarks and gets shit thrown at him, and he enjoys the thrill of adventure in the outer world after having lived a closed off sheltered life in the city.

Easily my favourite mech design of all time.
