Why would you buy a Vita if you don't already know what games you want to play on it?
Seems kinda stupid thb senpai
It depends on whether you're a normie faggot or not.
Some people can afford to waste money
I am the least normie fag around
Did you buy it for jp games or western games?
Then you wouldn't need to ask.
Tearaway
All the Vanillaware games
Soul Sac Delta
Muramasa
P4G
The Grand Kingdom demo was fun, will probably pick that up when it goes on sale
Gravity Rush
Any Squaresoft PS1 game
Jeanne D'Arc and Locoroco if you didn't play them on PSP
Maximum comfiness ensues.
>What am I in for?
a worse screen than the first vita model
>What am I in for?
A lot of preaching from Vitagen
Hold onto your receipt for the warranty, the control sticks for vita are extremely poorly made, my right one isn't responding anymore and many games are unplayable now.
You can repair it if the warranty is over.
>buying systems without doing your research first
Idiot
A 1000 PSV? Nice, the 2000 has a shitty poor people's look on it
Does the Vita have backwards compatibility with PSP games?
>What am I in for?
PS4/PS3/PC ports and indie games
Are you weeb enough to know moon? If so, enjoy a gorillian games.
Killzone mercenary
Little big planet
Wipeout 2048
Sly cooper collection
Sly cooper thieves in time
Super meat boy
Race the sun
Guacamelee
There is a website called Sup Forums reccomends, check that out. We should have that site stickied here imho. We need a sticky for newfriends anyway
this
but sure OP, what genres are you into?
New Little King's Story, should I? Saw you can create a law to force girls into school swimsuits.
I speak/read Japanese somewhat, should I import? Heard they simply gutted the audio in western version.
I'm liking my vita:
Spelunky
Gravity Daze
Hotline Miami 2
Lumines
BlazBlue (jap import for decent audio)
Tactics Ogre (PSP download)
Vagrant Story (again, download)
Looking forward to waifu bartender game and Hyper Drift zelda thing game.
Sad we didn't get Zodiac Age.
This. Had a PSTV, noticed some of my games were not compatible, bought a VITA, and never used it after setting up games on it.
newfags can fuck off and fend for themselves. That's the recommended approach.
>fend for themselves
You mean "make recommendations threads multiple times throughout the day"?
Little King's Story has frame rate issues on the Vita. If that doesn't bother you, it'll probably be fine.
>Sad we didn't get Zodiac Age.
i'm just hoping for a PC release at this point. Vita version would have been a day 1 buy, though.
the type of person that makes recommendation threads is the type that doesn't read the sticky anyway.
>Framerate
I don't need a solid 30, but if it very often drops to 15 and back, that might be annoying. Looks REALLY good though.
If I'm just gonna play it on pc, I can already emulate it and use my DS4
I recommend you my collection (also Soul Sacrifice Delta, digital only)
Honestly, the Vita is good for:
Persona 4 Golden + P3P
PSP and PS1 games
Crossplay indie games.
A handful of VNs and some decent weebshit if you're into that
That's... about it.
Danganronpa is on steam now.
Gravity Rush is on PS4
Same with Tearaway.
Vita is literally dead and has been for a few years now.
P4G is trash, and anyone recommending it is a faggot
No
I argue that if you've played P4 already, there's no reason to bother, but some people really like the series, so to them I say "Fuck it".
You don't have to buy exclusives only, you know.
You can repurchase games as digital, and (I think) you can hack the machine to read psp ISO's from the memory card.
The P4 dub is one of the worst dubs I've ever heard. I could never buy that game, but one day I'll get an undub.
There's no way to play UMDs, but you can buy PSP games on the store.
I just picked up Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, I would recommended if you like monster hunter clones, this one has a bit better combat so far weapon system isn't as deep same for armor
I bought it for Rayman Origins and ended up with 8 or so games in the first few months.
>You don't have to buy exclusives only, you know.
I mean, you're right, but the multiplatform stuff is always going to be better on a console. Lets be real, who regularly plays handhelds outside of their house? You can buy a PS3 for less than $100 and play 90% of the Vita multiplats on a 1080p TV.
Rabi Ribi is getting a vita port near the end of this year. Pick it up if you like metroidvania games and cute girls.
Plenty of people play handhelds on the go. Regarding performance, most multiplatform games between the PS3 and Vita run near identical. The exception is Gust JRPGs, mostly. There was Akiba's Trip, too that I think had an issue with crowded areas. PS4 ports are another story, but they do run better in general.
Either way, no one really buys only exclusives on handheld platforms. That's not really the point. You buy a handheld for portability and convenience.
I'll probably pick that up. Strider never came to the Vita, did it? I bought that on PC a while ago and haven't really touched it. Well, I hope Rabi Ribi gets a Vita demo.
>the control sticks for vita are extremely poorly made
Is this true ?
Maybe you were too rough with the control sticks.
Do they still sell the original model anywhere?
