Why is everyone so pissed about cel-shading? I think it looks great, even in Wind Waker.

Apparently everything either has to look realistic, or grey and gritty. Everyone seems to be allergic to vibrant colors.
Might just be me, but everything about that picture looks like absolute horseshit, I tried enlarging the picture but that made my eyes sting from the poor quality and overused bad lighting.
Whoever made that shit should honestly kill themselves so no one has to lay eyes upon this crap image again.
I love cell shading but nintendo add too much bloom and fog.
I'm hyped for future games when they reach gilty gear level though.
What bothers me is only link is cel chaded and everything else is textured.
At least borderlands was consistent.
people take pictures of cel-shading and act like it is representative of the art form
Cel-shading is aesthetically at its best during movement, that's why in wind waker they had the wind constantly blowing the grass and tree leaves around and it is the same with this game
I like it when it's appropriate, same for every other artistic choice.
Nintendo has overused the cel-shading and cartoon Zelda for far too long.
It's just you and your "horseshit" opinion. Go play your feminazi Horizon Zero Sales on PS4.
Casuals probably expected Skyrim with a Zelda skin.
It's a cop-out due to Nintendo always having shit hardware.
I want it to have cutting edge graphics, so I can shit on it one year down the line and say that it is unplayable because of how dated it looks
>implying Zelda wasn't always meant to be an anime series
>implying cel-shading doesn't suit it best
I love the recent Zelda games trying to look like paintings in motion. Fits the themes very well.
my personal problem is that only entities are cell shaded (link, bokoblins etc) while the world has simply smoothed textures unstead of cell shading
still better than trash chibi
I want to molest link
>le indie graphics are le best
Because if they tried making it realistic it wouldn't be out until 2025
find a flaw
It looks gay.
Homosexual tendencies and behaviors are inherently flawed.
I want there to be a shitless outfit...
Will there be different equipable dresses?
Why is he so perfect?
I'm tired of it for Zelda.
It ruins the atmosphere of the games by preventing it from having a balance of light and dark themes.
I'm not asking for grey mcgritty shit either, just a balance of both, like the days of OoT, MM and TP to some extent.
I can't get immersed in a stylized world. It's just too fake. If I could have graphics look exactly like real life, then that would be better than anything that stylized graphics could ever do.
All hardware is shit, since something better will always come after. Nintendo just uses what's practical. I mean, do we really need fucking hyper realism in Zelda? Look at Jet Set Radio. That game looks better than most games I've seen this generation.
edgy
Xrd isn't cel shaded in the traditional sense. Nintendo doesn't have the expertise, tech, or willingness to do all the work arcsys did, anyway, so you're gonna have to live with the shitty overbloomed, overfogged cel shading they're so fond of.
Good.
The fuck you talking about? Literally nobody is pissed about the cellshading.
Somebody doesn't have an imagination.
I like this style
>no nipples
user pls
>uncut
In b4 raging burgers.
Where should I start if I've never played a Zelda game?
>Why is everyone so pissed about cel-shading?
Nobody is pissed about cel-shading.
that's gay, faggot
Ocarina
>liking manlets
If BotW wasn't cell-shaded the graphics would look even more dated.
The artstyle makes having stuff be blocky and low poly seem intentional, which is nice.
doesn't matter, sis. only ones I wouldn't start with are SS, the DS ones, the four swords games, and just because half the charm is in the throwback, ALBW
anywhere else is good, even 2
>Cell Shading
>Bloom set to MAX
Pick one.
