Any ultrawide bros in here? Just got my X34 and I'm blown away, getting 100Hz and 3440x1440 all at once is almost too much for my dick. Any recommendations for games? I read that Blizzard are returning 21:9 support to Overwatch which is great.

There's a nice 21:9 curated steam list here

I love ultrawide. I don't have a freesync monitor though. U3415W does OC to 80Hz.

how do you like them?

Mine arrives tomorrow. Pretty hype, brah.

Nice banana.

They're fucking dank. Excellent quality for the price - recently bought the S8 subwoofer to match the 2.0 . The bass was good before but now it's goddamn world-rending. Only problem I've ever had was some overheating problems but that was one time in summer when my room was full of super high, sweaty people blasting house music at 90% volume during a party.

There's your problem.

u need more mice

Just loaded up DS3 with the ultrawide hack, hot damn.

way ahead of you.

How do you move the taskbar to the side of the desktop? It's unlocked and dragging doesn't work.

...

When is 21:9 support coming back to OW? I was bummed aobut this.

"Late July", though I don't understand why it can't just come in the next patch.

Gonna order an X34 soon. How is playing games that don't support 21:9?

you should be able to do this.click on the bar and then drag it down to the bottom of the screen and don't let go till you get to left edge.

It's a little bit jarring to go from 21:9 to 16;9 but it's fine. Also means I can play it in a window and have a browser or something open next to it if I want. At 16:9 it's equivalent to a 27" 1440p monitor which is what I had before so not a big drawback at all.

This hobby is getting expensive very fast

You would also need to dual wield 1080ti while overclocking them with liquid nitrogen

I think a single GTX 1080 should get 60fps in most games at this res, but actually taking advantage of that 144Hz?

What I really like about ultrawide 1440 is that it's MUCH easier to drive than 4K (almost twice as easy). I haven't had the chance to use a 4K monitor for extended periods but you would have a hard time getting me away from the 21:9 aspect. It's like having dual 1:1 screens when you need it to be and a beautiful super wide screen for your media and games.

I won't go back to the 16:10/16:9 after having used 21:9. I was using a 2560x1600 30" dell before, and this 110 ppi is the best balance to me.

I decided to buy Asus PG279Q instead of the Acer Superwide alternative. I like to have fullscreen videos open on my second monitor, something that (as far as I know) isn't possible on half of a screen (which is pretty weird in current year).

holy fuck. noice
