Obligatory
is that really in the fucking game? I remember playing through it a few years ago but never remember hearing this.
Probably the most legitimately unsettling song to ever appear in a Kirby game
FPBP
Yes it is
What the fuck is wrong with nintendo?
they are japanese
I'll do you one better
They like pushing their gay agenda.

>playing this shit on Sonic Gems collection one night
>First time really playing the game
>It's really late, house is dead quiet
>It being winter made the outdoors look spookier than normal
>Hear this music with the laughs
>Die
>Freaked out
youtube.com
Nintendo's composers would have a fucking field day with a horror game.
holy FUCK
youtube.com
Why does the music in this game make me uneasy
>that Lavender Town reversed video that would always chase you around Youtube with the creepy Jigglypuff thumbnail
Everytime
This is why I like the JP soundtrack better
Fuck, I need to play EarthBound again
Pinwheel, while not terrifying it definitely was an unexpected shift in tone. Shame the fight was ass.
>3:02
what the absolute fuck is wrong with Suzuki and Tanaka I never listened to this theme in its entirety before, that is fucking terrifying
...
how could you have not listened? it's in the game
Am I mistaken or is resident evil a horror game?

For some reason this spooked me a lot when i was a kid.
>Playing this shit late one night too
>Decided to look on Gamewinners for cheats
>Find the soundtest cheat to view secret artwork
>First one I put in is the image above
Not to mention that song is playing too...
I know there was really creepy music in GoW1 it played in like two areas and I can´t find it anywhere. Im sure it played at the end of the pandora´s temple when you find skeletons in a big room.
and also THIS. Jesus christ who thought this was a good idea

Speaking of Paper Mario
>Have a real aversion to discordant music, especially when I was younger
>Play a nice JRPG
>Hear this
oh fug i'm nostalgiaing so hard right now. thanks user
youtube.com
Playing this for the first time gave me cold chills
Especially considering it's supposed to take place on the cusp of the end of the world at the hands of a demon being summoned.
But that ended up being a hoax record anyway so I'm not sure how to feel about that
The Mother series is fucked up.
youtube.com
They should have included the original final boss sprites though
I love how despite being an atmospheric song to set the mood for the final boss it still has that naganuma style to it that can't be ignored.
HOLY SHIT
The platforming was scarier
fuck, why is that only Nintendo and Sega have the most consistently competent composers in the industry for this kind of stuff?
Either way, I think Splatoon's soundtrack took some inspiration from this game's, cause I'm hearing some similarities in DJ Octavio's theme in this.
...
Naganuma is fucking rad that's why
DELET DIS
FUCK WHY IS THAT JUMPING SOUND SO HORRIBLE
...
youtube.com
This spooked my guts off when it came on.
...
This feels more hype than scary.
It wasn't scary, it was unsettling
Yeah it was really fucking cool, but it was also kinda messed up, wouldn't you say?
I'm not even a noisefag but this is actually a really nice song.
It was unexpected because it's just a colorful wacky game but you go to the last level and then you hear REEEEEEEEEeEEEEEEEE, and a giant gold rhino is breathing fire on you.
Someone's gonna post that copypasta with Randy Savage. Guaranted.
>dark as fuck
>spazzy enemies that seem to be looking at you when they're not
>silent floating heads that will ALWAYS spot you
>Gollum fuckers that wreck your shit
>health draining fast
>a pool of fucking blood you have to wade through
>this shit playing throughout
youtube.com
JESUS FUCK
Yeah and those screams which are actually worked into the music itself as you hear this intense track that makes you feel like you need to either prevent whatever the fuck is going on on top of the city, or run the hell away as fast as you can
Fuck that shit.

New JSR when?
This is but a scrap of hope for it, user.
But possibly it would be best to leave it in the past where it will always be a treasure
>mfw I used to watch this guy's top 10s
true
Sorry, here's a higher quality version
I'm pretty sure this one's kinda cheating
youtube.com
FUCK
It feels like my eardrums have tightened.
youtube.com
>mfw first time hearing this
I heard this in game about jets, of all places.

HURRY UP

Fuck this dungeon
I'm not the only one who's legitimately always gotten a headache, right
Wow, Rubyfags got gypped, the Flood theme was fucking great in Sapphire
youtube.com
>disturbing
This shit is hype as fuck
youtube.com
Fuck the Cave of the GI and waking up in the Shinra Building
nothings worse than no music at all
youtube.com
AC3 is a fucking experience no matter whether you're playing the Jap or western version
youtube.com
the game itself is more disturbing than any music
>mfw I used this in my Super Mario Bros. Movie fan-edit in the scene where they arrive in the dinosaur manhattan and no one noticed
fear is gone and anger has arrived
No not at all
The gameboy's soundchip was almost on the same level of the Genesis one in terms of giving me a headache
Damn near all the dungeon songs in OoT are varying degrees of unsettling.
I can get some of them, but Deku Tree? I always thought that one sounded pretty.
Ocarina was fucking top-notch in the atmosphere department, the overworld was literally happy songs with memorable melodies where you fight critters and small ghosts, until you got inside some dungeon in which the music would always sound like eerie avant-guarde horror film shit, the place would be always dark and claustrophobic, and very often you'd have to fight enemies who were twice as tall as you and could handle swords.
>mfw I can hear Link's footsteps and his equipment rattling followed by a distant sound of a Skulltulla spinning around in some wall
>when you refuse to answer one of AI colonel's calls and that chick in bikini appears instead of the radar
i LEGIT thought i'm in some creepypasta bulshittery
youtube.com
>Temple's boss is playing the bongos throughout the dungeon
The deku tree? that's the generic cave theme though.
My favorite would be the forest temple theme. It's so weird and catchy desu.

Two in one game.
EH
Oh shit I never noticed that. That's meta as heck.
....wait he's playing the bongos in the well too then.
>its boss theme has it singing along with the music as well
Fucking weird-ass dungeon as a whole.
Twilight Princess had some great spooky dungeon ambience
