>spending money on previous gen remasters
Literally kill yourselves you cancerous fucks

If I want to replay the games I'll just reinstal, which is exactly what I' doing right now with Bioshock 2 having just finished replaying 1.

System Shock 2 is still better.

It's free upgrade on pc

>buy

I get the upgrades for free nigger

So what is this exactly.

Lets be honest here

Infinite was awful, like god awful. Doesnt deserve to share a franchise awful. Im glad the entire team got made redundant after it released awful.

2 was alright

1 was great.

I never played any Bioshock games, so I'll be buying it. Infinite is also a touchstone, good or bad--so it's important to play.

I'll be getting it on console

>he's still mad
infinite was solid, cuck.

>currently playing 1 for the first time
>feels dated as fuck

I'll probably just put it on hold and buy this. pscuck btw

No user, you're awful. Just like your whore of a mother.

If you're about to play 2, I very very highly reccomend you check out the "There's Something in The Sea" ARG archives.

rapturearchives.org/php/sits.php

"There's Something in the Sea" is an interquel web based ARG made to advertise Bioshock 2.

It's honestly my favorite part of the bioshock canon and really adds alot to the second game's atmosphere.

Infinite was okay but the last level felt rushed as fuck. The ending was also retarded.

Thanks, I'll go check it out while the game is still downloading.

agreed. how people could be mad at what Kojima got out of $80mm dollars when this is the kind of shit most studios would crap out with $200mm, its absurd. Reviews can be bought out, the game was trash and anyone working in the industry with a brain knows the real score, its no wonder eveyone in the studio is out of the job and not a word has been heard out of levine's mouth since

The only thing I didn't like was only having two guns at once. It also felt pretty weird that ADAM had serious health problems but vigors from ~50 years beforehand had no downside.

Sup Forums hand guide, chapter 4 "Safe opinions to fit in easily"

I had the ps3 version of 1 and while Survivor difficulty was fun I really don't fucking see the allure of a remaster of a game you play twice, maybe 3 times at most before you shelve.

I loved 2's multiplayer though. It was so stupid and broken and I was great at it.

Not in the habit of buying remasters like this, but I've never played the series and it's 3 in 1 so I may bite

Explain what the fuck this is. Are they updating the graphics of 1 and 2 or is this just a cheap pack for all three games

You guessed right, exactly that
plus all dlcs
minus BS2 multiplayer

Genuinely never know about this.

Bless you based user.

I'm looking forward to playing it with my wife's son ;)

>minus BS2 multiplayer
Fucking really? That would be the sole thing making it maybe possibly worthwhile.

I'm pretty sure they're updating the graphics

I remember playing bs2 multiplayer on xbox. Shit was stupid as fuck

HAHA!

well meme'd my friend!

No problem. Like I said, it's honestly my favorite part of the Bioshock universe, and is just a fantastic experience on it's own.

I think you're forgetting time travel

Hang yourself retard

desu, familia, it's probably not gonna be that different. They're only gonna be able to update the grpahics so much, and the gameplay is gonna be as ass as it was back in the day.

posting by the book, good boy

>Remastered Bioshock
Hell fucking yeah
>Remastered Bioshock 2
Well I dunno, it was kinda passable
>Not-remastered Bioshock Infinite
No and fuck you for even suggesting that

Overall - not worth it, so no. It's a good way to introduce somebody to the series for sure, but nah

I've never played a bioshock game. I might get it.

2 does feel less dated and not just because of GRAFFICS but more because of a better use of Unreal Engine 3 in general. That being said, 1 still has the best atmosphere and the confrontation with Ryan is great, but 2 will always feel a lot better to actually play.

Holy fuck people genuinely thought infinite was good?

Wow.

I'm not trying to say infinite was complete shit but I played the game from start to finish and can't even remember most of it.

Holy fuck people genuinely thought infinite was bad?

Wow.

TELL ME WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT THIS GAME OTHER THAN SPAWNING PIC RELATED AND QT.

WHAT IS GOOD ABOUT INFINITE

youtube.com/watch?v=l_u18_BKczg

its fun

I kind of want to play infinite so that I've finished every BioShock

But I also fucking despise bad/mediocore timey wimey wibbly wobbly storylines

I don't get it. Objectively I can understand people's frustration that Infinite was different than 2 or 1, but I enjoyed it.

I loved the atmosphere and the art style. Elizabeth was cute and didn't get in the way. I liked the light hearted take on parallel timelines without getting into too much headspace. The combat was far more fluid that the other bioshock games, I didn't feel like a worthless, clunking, piece of shit like I did in Bioshock 1.

It may have been simplified and more commercialized for consoles, but on the whole I enjoyed it. It also had the best DLC, Burial at Sea 2 was awesome.

Fuck everyone, I liked it for what it was.

agreed

I had some fun with Infinite but that is completely subjective.

I was shitposting.

Infinite is just really fucking boring, why do the plasmid powers have to be so specific? in bioshock youd just shoot fire or electricity out of your hands and shit it was cool in infinite its like "oh its electric but its a trap you place down. you dont actually shoot electricity out of your hands at people". and whats with two guns only? bioshock 1 and 2 hada collection of guns youd obtain over time why did they ditch that formula?

>Best DLC
Minerva's Den was way better and was actually longer than 2 hours. Also, it didn't fuck the storyline in order to make Ken Levine's waifu the hero.

It depends, are 2 and Infinite as tedious and boring as the first or shall I give them a try?

BS was always a dumbed down System shock, I really dont get the people saying BSI is much worse than BS1 because enemies dont respawn and 2 guns (which actually makes the game a bit harder, in BS you are always full money full ammo)
I like the games but they're way overrated because of the twist

One of the reasons I liked 2 more is because defending the little sisters and fighting the Big Sister brought some needed difficulty to the table.
The money was still too common though so restoking on ammo was easy.
I also liked how you could carry only 5 medkits instead of 9.

Why would I buy a remaster that looks worse than the originals?

I already have 1 and 2 coming and i dont give a shit about infinite so fuck off?

>BS was always a dumbed down System shock
Besides the RPG mechanics from 2 and the lack of an inventory the games are identical.

free upgrade on PC you dumb nigger

>bioshock 2
>only passable
shit taste, it's objectively the best of the bunch.

Shit writing, shit interactivity, shit mechanics. You're always limited to two weapons, the enemies are all bullet sponges, a significant chunk of the game is spent fighting the same boss three times, the antagonist that most blatantly broadcasts YOU WILL FIGHT ME AT SOME POINT is one you never fight even once. Not a single choice you make in the game matters to the plot or even has any real immediate consequences, there are plot holes galore, the ending shows a clear lack of understanding of how a multiverse works as a fictional concept, as does the narrative at large, and Elizabeth's character really makes no sense. She does not act like someone who's been locked in a room literally her entire life, she's extroverted and full of vigor and doesn't exhibit racial attitudes that a person whose only exposure to other races was through books written before 1902.

The only reason people like it is because there's a Disney waifu in it and a plot that makes them feel dumb through obfuscation.

How do multiverses work as a fictional concept and how do they work in Infinite?

Im gonna pirate it day 1

Never actually played any of them. They released in a window of time in my life when I just didn't get to play vidya much. I'll definitely get this collection when the price comes down. $20-40 for 3 games seems reasonable.

Just pirate and play System Shock 2 and save yourself the money and time.

CHOOSE

In the type of multiverse that BI seems to espouse, e.g. one where there's a universe for every possibility, Elizabeth's solution (drowning Booker so he never becomes Comstock) doesn't do anything about the universes where he never gives her up, and a throwaway line about "constants and variables" doesn't really justify or explain it. The narrative also seems to think that the universe you're in right now is the only one that counts for some reason, which is why you see the weird freakout dudes who died in another universe. Except that in a multiverse where all possibilities coexist they're all already dead somewhere, because with infinite possibilities there's a universe where they died in the womb, or in a near-miss accident, or of an illness they recovered from in another universe. Hell, there's universes where they don't exist because their dad jerked off one extra time.

There's lots of other things wrong with the narrative as well. Why the fuck do Vigors exist? How do they work? They didn't even try to justify it with some ADAM-esque pseudo-science. They're just there because it's Bioshock. And yeah, I know about the whole "windows to other universes where we can watch scientists in Rapture do their thing" but that's a weak-ass justification as well.

Maybe if they fix the shitty gunplay and sluggish feel to it that makes GTA IV feel like Max Payne 3.
But it's a free upgrade on the PC anyways.

I love Sigma. I really tried to get into the mindset of a Big Daddy.

Is it necessary to play system shock to appreciate bioshock, or is system shock just that much better?

No judgment, but I don't pirate. I'd probably try to find a legit copy somewhere.

Nah masterrace

oh come on, it was still a great game. maybe not as good as the first, but still a good time

This gen has truly converted me into a PC gamer
I already have BioShock in whatever resolution I can handle, as with both Modern Warfare games

I thought it was free for everyone who owned 1-3 on steam.

I wonder if they'll bother fixing all of the weird glitches still present in Bioshock 1
>PICK UP THE COMPLETED EMP BOMB

Or the horrible aliasing problem in 2.

Infinite was fucking awful, I don't know how it got praised so hard by retards.
>2 weapon limit
>bullet sponge enemies
>uninteresting plasmids and gunplay
>pants-on-head retarded story
>inability to stick to a theme, jumped around between a million different themes and said nothing meaningful about any of them

It did a few things right, like
>sound design
>music
>artstyle

But everything else was absolutely terrible

Bioshock is a carbon copy of System Shock 2 with a few dumbed down features like lack of an inventory and no character specialization mechanic like SS2's stats. However the map design of System Shock 2 is miles better and actually makes you feel like you're inside a space ship and every room has purpose, whereas Bioshock's level design is extremely cramped even during times it has no reason to be and it feels like the levels were designed to be in a video game, rather than to be an actual city.

gonna have to go with Jack Ryan.

except in bioshock you never run out of ammo or money
except bioshock's exploration is laughable because you already have max ammo and money 2-3h into the game, and weapon upgrade stations are in plain sight
except you dont have a giant fucking arrow telling you where to go
and a shiny gold glow telling you to pick up an item
and a pop up telling you to PRESS H TO GET A HINT IF YOU'RE STUCK when you're just exploring normally
it is clearly a dumbed down game

System Shock 1 hacker is basically the only one with any personality.

>Breaks into TriOptimum security because he can
>Willingly creates an extremely dangerous AI which systematically murders everyone on citadel station
>Destroys his own creation without a sweat and gets a pardon
>Goes straight back to hacking when it's all said and done

He just doesn't give a fuck.

Nameless hacker, that guy fucked over SHODAN's contingency plans to her contingency plans and didn't give no shits for that sweet ass job offer.

Lizzy because I always fap to her SFM porn

Elizabeth porn was the one good thing to come out of Infinite
>tfw futa elizabeths fucking other elizabeths

I just wish the StudioFOW animation wasn't 75% shit

>without a sweat
Dude looks pretty beat up and exhausted in the ending scenes right after beating SHODAN though.

A solid turd.

shut up

I like 1 the best, but 2 is much better than it gets credit for. The only real issue I had with it was that Lamb was a shit antagonist, more so after the greatness that was Ryan.

I've never played any of the Bioshock games, do they have a spooky element to them?

>All these people who think Bioshock Infinite were good

What the actual fuck. I mean, aside from the attached pic, the game was shit. The gunplay was worse than 2, the Vigors were tossed into the game for no good reason, the story had multiple plotholes, and the entire game was pretty damn terrible. Like from the beginning where you start on the beach and see NPCs repeating the same movements, not reacting to you, it just felt so fake. Elizabeth's character was as unbelievable as ever, Booker was probably retarded.. I don't know, what redeeming qualities were there to the game?

It's just shitposting user.

I hope it is.

BS1 is spooky for 2 minutes, then you get so much ammo and health it gets kind of stupid
For a better spook play System Shock 2, its not a pure horror game but its more scary

yes, but it disappears quickly as you become very powered up, bt the first one maintains it for a good while.

I'd rather save my money for Dead Rising remaster

Ooh, so tough! :)

i will punch you twice

I'd love to see you try, cupcake.

I really hope System Shock 3 makes a focus on actual choices this time around. System Shock 2 had a great theme of flesh vs machine with a player character that is half flesh and half machine but you're never given any choice over who to side with, you just wake up to a space station overrun with flesh already trying to kill you and just end up finding SHODAN and allying with her for basically no reason other than the other option is death.

I want SS3 to actually give you choices on who you can follow and how you can act, depending on your choices you get flesh boosts or augmentation boosts, this would also put SHODAN at a unique position were she'll actually have to try and convince somebody over to her side instead of just being her usual self or else she'll risk the only person strong enough to see her will done convert to the other side.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

The one thing that made me legit mad was not being able to carry healing items with you
>go in guns blazing
>oh shit, I got hit, better heal u-
>Oh waaaait, you can't carry useful items in this game because it's too hard for the casual audience. Fuck.

>I don't know, what redeeming qualities were there to the game?
The way Elizabeth can summon things via reality warping powers is pretty neat

I also think flying Big Daddy and Peppercracker Patriot are pretty fucking cool as far as vidya enemies go

I might, have had the urge to replay them lately and they aren't backwards compatible on Xbone.

HE AIN'T MY BOY BUT THE BROTHER IS HEAVY

Infinite is by far the best one. 2 is trash.

*worst one

(you)

>reinstall
I'm assuming PC? Nigga, BioShock 1 and 2+Minerva's Den remaster is free for anyone who owns the originals of them on Steam.
