Miku is a pretty good rhythm game. You may not like the j-pop undertones or the idol-like interactions, but it does have a nice variety of songs available. I'm still more interested in Deevo, but Miku is still fun to pick up.

The Nintendo DS game was a port of the first Shiren the Wanderer game from the snes .
The one on the vita is the 5th Shiren the Wanderer game.

It is no port.

I like that the monsters are animated in this one, it's better than Etrian Odyssey 4. And the trailer had a cool horror vibe going on. But I didn't realize that this game was also the mecha dungeon crawler. It has a lot of cool things in it, but is it any good?

Try starting up a general Ys thread. The series as a whole seems to have a decent following. Maybe you'll find some people who imported the game as well, although I'd suspect that the number of importers tends to be fairly small (especially for games not as popular on the board).

And changed boss patterns, and different boss strategies, different equipment, counters/reactions which made fights exceptionally different, and most importantly augments - which changed the game quite a bit. There was also NG+ and the two hidden bosses, but that was a fairly minor part.

EU basically ended up needing to kickstart their limited edition. In exchange, they spent nearly all the profit they got from doing so into extras with the game. NA's Marvelous didn't have any problems setting up extras to package with the Senran games, which meant that every copy got the extras but they were considerably less impressive.
