I have never pre ordered a game . I was born in the early 90s so I saw the birth of the GameStop pre order and the horse armor dlc . Has anybody else refused to buy into it ? Or am I out of touch
I have never pre ordered a game...
i never buy dlc. born in 90. only because i feel like i'd rather buy a 2nd game with the money instead
I've never done it either
I did it for HR at first and then cancelled it when they announced store exclusive unlocks
I know what you mean my fellow gamer, I only pre-ordered Fallout 4! And it was great! I have now pre-ordered Skyrim Remastered because I'm sure that company wont let me down.
All I want to know is when did "expansion packs" become "DLC"
Only preordered HR. Wasn't let down so I preordered MD aswell.
I still don't understand the point of it unless the game's supply genuinely outstrips demand, which never happens anymore, or if you really want that insignificant cosmetic dlc.
The only game, to my recollection, that I ever pre-ordered was Smash Bros. Melee. No regrets there.
The only game I've ever pre-ordered is Persona 5. I usually don't even care about special editions but I've been waiting on this game for a long time. Never bought any DLC
...
It happened because developers realized people would pay for that BS. Bethesda tested the retard waters with horse armor and everyone seemed to agree it was the new fad to hop onto.
Only nu male suckers pre order.
i only pre order if the bonus is something cool and physical. last thing i can remember pre ordering was heart gold.
I pre-ordered a game once, but I don't remember what game it was.
I don't remember ever actually picking it up on release day, either.
Guess you never ran into the issue of games being sold out when you went to buy them then. This was the whole reason preordering came about.
This doesn't seem to be an issue any more these days (especially with digitial distribution being a thing) but the whole 'preorder reward' thing stuck.
80s baby oldfag here, I laugh at sheeple preordering games. Only idiots who get caught in the hypetrain would do that. I remember when doc was called an expansion pack and was actually worth its asking price. Today it's marketing over everything else in gaming.
F.
This is me exactly pretty much, 86er.
I preordered mw2 and bioshock 2. If we count buying a game like a day before it comes out then I preordered REmake and re0 hd
Same.
It's just kikery.
Dlc's are even worse.
i think the only games ive ever preordered were new vegas and bad company 2, i wouldve pre ordered american truck simulator if they offered it as well. i didnt buy them for pre order dlc or anything tho, i was just really hype for the games and felt they were deserving of a pre purcharse.
i don't like this pepe
It's a raw pepe
