Ok so I'm starting REmake for the first time. This will be my first Resident Evil game. People told me to start with Remake and work my way up and not bother with 4-6 because they are casual shooter trash.

Any helpful tips for a first timer?

FUCK OFF AND PLAY THE GAME

don't burn any bodies. it's a waste of oil.

B8 b8 b8

Play 4 after you have beaten REmake>2>3.

4 and REmake are the best games in the series.

Play all the RE games you can

>Good B movie story, amazing lore, likeable characters, a lot of weapons for a lot of play styles, good level design, good art style and graphics.

Seriously, is one of the greatest videogame series of all time

Every title in the main series is good, even if they're not strictly titles that should be wearing the Resident Evil title.

Don't skip them ok maybe skip zero

4 is fine and you'll enjoy it if you enjoyed REmake, 2 and 3. code veroncia too maybe? never played that one.
Also the revelations games are fun

...

I want to cum inside jill

Play Either the vanilla Re1 directors cut or the DS version.

Remake is such a masterpiece that if you play it first you won't enjoy the original.

After that play 2, Code Veronica, 3, Zero, 4, 5, and yes even 6

Ideally if you want to enjoy RE you should play Resident Evil 1 - 3, the CV games and REmake. RE4 is the game that changed the camera angle, but the thing is thought Shinji Mikami (the father of RE) was the director. So the game is actually good, RE5 and 6 are the black sheeps of the franchise.

You should play RE1 before REmake just to appreciate how fucking good of a remaster it is. You can tell Mikami went all fucking out with REmake and it shows as it's still a stellar game and the gold standard for remaking classic games all these years later. They didn't just update the graphics, they added rooms to the mansion and new gameplay elements that really shine.

Resident Evil is nothing without Shinji Mikami.

4 is an okay action game but it loses all tension once you notice every zombie stops running and starts slowly walking up to you at a certain distance for easy headshots. Also the game drops ammo and herbs like candy if you're low.

I was playing code veronica on dreamcast and never finished. how can I get it now ?

Rude.

There's 360 and ps3 ports

Emulate the ps2 version.

And once you figure out to just shoot them in their knees and kick them to death

>and not bother with 4-6 because they are casual shooter trash.

6 is trash

play 4, and play 5 with a friend

also this feels like b8

This is one of my main problems with RE4 and RE5. Once you release you can just shoot them in the knee caps and melee them to death the gameplay gets kind of dull.

>tips

Play the game retard, not even ironically saying it but do you actually suffer from Down Syndrome?

don't know anything about emulaters. any help ?

Too bad TEW is trash

Mountain climbing is the normal difficulty. RE1 is also probably the only RE where ammo feels limited, at least early on, so avoid the enemies you can.

Theres tons of guides on how to setup PCSX2. Look one up and start playing. It's not that hard to setup and start playing.

Yeah, Evil Within was pretty fucking boring. I couldn't actually finish the game. From what I heard though Mikami wasn't involved as much with the game, kind of like Shadows of the Damned which also had his name on it. Not entirely sure though.

Evil Within was such a disappointment. I wanted to love it so much, and I still think there are cool design choices buried in there. It just doesn't come together to make a fun video game.

It's made by the studio he founded himself. I doubt that he wasnt that much involved.

Pick Jill.
Get to a safe place.
Fap to her big white booty.

thank you senpaitachi I will check it out

he was involved knee-deep and came up with retarded notions of a 30fps lock and implementing fake black bars on an already low FOV to make the game feel 'cinematic'

he is one of many formerly succesful creative people who have fallen to shit

I liked the mansion part though. Gave me RE1 vibes.

The shooter trilogy is many things but I wouldn't call them casual.

The game is fine. The only reason people give it shit because they thought it was going to be REmake 1.5 instead of RE4.5.

Re4 is the best one on the entire series. Do skip the following ones tho, 5 is where it all went to shit.

>no eye contact
>using strange terms
>Not understanding the situation they are in.
Is Jill autistic?
