How's that micro coming along?

How's that micro coming along?

WTF i hate it now!!!

I've been scouting the famicom edition for 6 years now. It gets more and more expensive

I owned two of them at one point, still have one. Gave the other to my sister's fiance. I regret it to this day.

Bought two boxed, new famicom micros in 2012. Only really used one of them. Take the other out to charge it now and again.

Got the player 2 faceplate too, which is cool.

Gave mine away years ago because it's too small to feel comfy in my hands.

I got a nice wee used one and bought a flash cart for it. its really good for a small console to carry about

Always wanted one for the novelty factor. I'd imagine the Famicom one is pretty expensive these days but what about regular ones?

It's not.
I play all my Gameboy games on a Gameboy Player hacked to 240p, with a Hori gamepad, RGB Scart cable, CRT and I think you're a filthy pleb.

I lost it ages ago and i'm devestated, they cost more than fucking 3ds' now.

they're kind of expensive because they aren't very common. Last time I checked they were like 50$ on ebay

Do they even sell those flashcards anymore? Used a psp for the gba itch

I want one but then I realized that all the games I want to play don't have a working internal battery anymore so now I'm looking for an EZ-IV reseller first

I just opted for a EZFlash IV i found on eBay. It works fairly well, but bigger games are a pain in the arse.

And that is for one in SHIT condition. Getting one in good condition/new will cost you at least $150.

Picture of mine next to vita for size comparison.

lmao
I went to a barterfaire some years ago and trade a jar of homemade applesauce for a Silver Micro with the charger. Guy was high off his ass.

This is the kind of story that gets better over time

So pokemon? You know you can't take them to your local game store, (not gamestop etc) and they will replace it for you? Or at least give you a number of someone who does?

I don't have local game stores, I tried replacing one but the battery available at the local electronics store was too big to fit so now I have to order the specific model online, which takes time and I won't get it until september anyway

The battery is only useful in Emerald. Breeding on r/s is a pain in the ass with the battery working, or so I am told by the pokemon aficionado at my store. Do you live in bumfuck or something?

EZ Flash IVs went back into production 1 or 2 years ago. You can get them dirt cheap on aliexpress now.

>That feel when I had to import mine from Germany years ago for a gorillion euro

What a time to be alive.

NEVER FORGET THE 6 GORILLION GOYIM

Why would I own one when a more superior nintendo handheld existed back then

Pixel density.
I like the micro due to the size.

that's good to know, too bad buying from china is excruciatingly slow

How? Its too small to be held comfortably in most adult male hands.
Its screen is even smaller than the SP's. If you actually want something to play GBA games on, then you would go with the SP, not the micro. Only collector's care about the micro sense they just want to put in on display rather than actually use them.

Since Nintendo re-release the NES with 30 digital games built in, what's the chance of them doing the same for the micro?
I mean I know the answer is none but imagine...

The screen is smaller yes, but that makes the pixel grouping denser and makes the screen look sharper.
I think it's fine to hold and I have rather large hands.

>tfw when have two 001's and no 101's.

man i used to have the shrek orange/green sp but lost it

>tfw two 001's
>tfw one golden Zelda edition but it's all scratched up and worn out because I carried it in my pocket all the time

This one?

broke the L button playing this for the 4th time, i still haven't recovered emotionally

Charger port got fucked on my micro and soon misplaced it. Walmart sucks for vidya

A gameboy that can't play original GB games isn't worth owning.

It's a shame, everything else about it is so good, and then they fucked it all up because they didn't want to add another couple of mm.

>red sp
My partner in arms. I got that and Pokemon Ruby for Christmas with my brother getting the blue one and pokemon sapphire. We marathoned the games over a three day road trip. Still have great memories from all that.
Then I overwrote my save because 'I was gonna start over and do it better this time' and stopped after the second gym. I miss you, Spark. You were the best Blaziken.

This game was good but I couldn't beat Riku at the second fight. I discovered years later that there was actually a second part of the game where you get to play as him and kill other Organization 13 members. I thought it sounded cool, but I didn't think it worth trying to beat that shit.
