What video game has the most expansive world?

What video game has the most expansive world?

a windmill

Xenoblade Chronicles X

...

probably daggerfall or some other equally terrible rpg

Dwarf fortress

Wait a minute. Is this a NMS thread in disguise?

Elite Dangerous

He asked for most expansive world, not most worlds. is the only correct answer, for now.

I don't play it, but its probably Eve

You're right, doesn't make the game any less shit though. Only game I ever experienced Buyer's Remorse for.

Lineage II!
Skyrim!

The expansive world in Eve is the community, everything in the game revolved around my Corporation, which revolved around my Alliance, which revolved around my Coalition when I played it. I'm pretty sure OP means "physically."

Minecraft technically is infinite the file size just increases the further you go.

Hm, Daggerfall is certainly not terrible as far as rpgs go it's actually fairly engaging. Though then again the it's a 90s so the it's definitely esoteric.

Hmm that's a tricky one.

Your mom

Last time I played there was still a hard cap on how big the worlds could actually be, but it was so absurdly far out that you'd never run into it playing normally. No clue if they changed it since then, but if you went far enough out the game would start having trouble loading chunks of the map and eventually just stop.

I dunno.
It was fun the first couple weeks.
And the scale of the explorable universe is breathtaking.
If only it had more sophisticated progression and maybe some story content.

Jesus, you sure played a long time ago. It's been infinite since "1.0" release IIRC.

No I am talking about the "infinite" worlds. It just took hours to get that far out even if you noclip at 10x speed in a straight line. Just an engine limitation I guess, or something up with Java.

I thought it was a DHMIS thread.

ur mum haha

are Alpha accounts worth anything?

It would have been a lot better if it came out with Horizons and all the fleet shit with it. Also they shouldn't have listened to Reddit for advice on development. It is still my go to "WOW" game for showing off video games to old people though.

Whats your favorite idea?

The world of Pokémon Go has no physical edge, only lack of reception in some places.
Also, if you die in the game, you die in real life.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

...

After a certain point, the map glitches out. It's not intentional. Look up "Minecraft Far Lands".

...

>pesky Sup Forums!

Far lands are no more.
Get with the times, gramps.

No, the 'new' launcher allows you to play alpha and beta builds. Also your name can be changed now as well. No reason they would be worth anything.

That's what I'm trying to say. The Far Lands don't exist anymore. The only limit is your HDD/SDD.

BUY MY GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME

But if you go far enough it just loops.

But Alpha accounts get updates and new content for free, correct?

cut the shit, dude

Updates and new content are free for everyone, right? Did they start making expansion packs?

Fuel takes 2 or 3 hours to cross the map from one corner to another
Ive done it

...

Wow look a shitpost!

Not true, the game still has a limit. If I remember correctly it's something like 30000 blocks out. A world border is there to prevent you going further else shit gets glitchy.

You're right, I just looked it up. The border is at 30,000,000 blocks though.

Wew guess I was missing a few 0's.
Prior to this, as another user pointed out the game used to have "The Farlands" - a glitched mess of terrain as the result of a bug or someshit; the farlands don't exist anymore since the updated (read: shitter) generation post-release.
