What went right?
What went right?
everything except the forced stimpacks. Grind is super slow.
Quick 10m-15m for extreme casuals and popular Blizzard characters. That is the only thing that went right.
Literally the only reasons to hate it is >blizzard and >casual as fuck.
This, I'd play it a lot more, but the grind just takes so fucking long.
It's fun and easy to get into
I have 30k gold for playing on and off for about a month user.
You also get a shitload of gold when you first start. Like 20k+ by the time you get max level profile.
I never understood about why people complain about the grind. Every level 5 hero gets you 500gold. Getting a hero to level 9 of course will take a little bit longer but it nets you 750.
It's a fun, casual game that isn't afraid to admit it. The grind is deceptively big though.
>Never understood why people complain about the grind
Because it starts quite strong and THEN it gets really slow, add to that the fact that you have to play specific characters in order to gain gold, so you can't just pick whoever you wish if you want some gold.
SO much about this game has to change for it be fun any significant sense of the word. I occasionaly play it iwth friends because its so casual. I can't imagine playing it like i used to play dota 2. There is no depth. And on top of that the spells aren't even fun to cast because they hit like pillows.
Nothing.
best hero went right
this, where direct competitors are trying to be the meanest esport out there, hots is effectively just about fanservice and chill
Close but no cigar
fucking this
They took what everyone wanted in a moba, a fast action brawl fest between two teams, and made it so.
After playing HoTS I realized that item choices are mostly just an illusion of choice, and farming is just an unnecessary means to an end that gane be completely written out of the game.
Also fun and actually unique characters like Cho'gathbamd Abathur are amazing to play after playing League of Tanky Dps or Defence of the Sven 2.
Cho'gall I mean. Mixing my mobas.
best wife coming through
>forced stimpacks
Are you one of those people who feels to need to buy every single character rather than just the ones you actually like?
The only good thing I can say about this game is that the T&A is at an all time high.
Not a bad choice, but
>that one character you want but will never get in
What's their name?
a firebat
The fuck is with the "grind" complaints? You get shit tonnes of gold from quests. If you are even semi-regularly playing the game and clearing your quests every 3 days you can afford most of the heroes you want to play easily. Coupled with the rotating 10 heroes weekly, the "grind" is nothing. Far better than what it used to be (7 free rotation, no quests).
HOTS actually has a great F2P model compared to most and really doesn't require you to grind 40 hours a week to get anywhere.
I thought Cow King was confirmed in a leak.
It needs a new engine. The SC2 engine does no favors for this kind of game with the re-connecting and shit.
No leaks I've ever seen mentions him but I sure as fuck hope you're right.
Maiev
this this this this this
hots has taken the dota genre and evolved it to cut out all the bullshit like reliance on carries, farming, potential feeding, and even the lane phase
fuck all that nonsense. the only reason lol and dota are so frustrating is that you can end up playing for 40 minutes to an hour jerking off killing the AI only to lose the entire game because one idiot forgot he had a minimap
Cho'gall is a genuinely cool design, and I will play this game with a friend occasionally just to play as him.
That's about it. I don't hate HotS, I actually prefer it to League because League is just a shitty Dota while HotS tries something different. Blizzard are still turbo-jews though so that puts a cap on how much I can like the game.
I thought a recent update made reconnecting much faster.
literally nothing
I thought this game was dead?
it doesn't have as many players as other options so it has some longer queue times depending on the day and hour of the day, but it's definitely not dead
it's not that far from dota queue times actually
why did you thought that?
because you hear it on Sup Forums?
after dota 2 and league of legends is the most popular moba. and they are pumping content like there is no tomorrow
I hate that you need someone in a party in order to play Cho'gall and can't just pick Cho or Gall and play quick match solo with a random.
it did but the system is still pretty shit
cutting out the 15-20 minutes of grinding at the start of every game makes games faster and more interesting
it also scales at like double the rate of league or dota
nothing, blizzards biggest flop yet.
