Do shitty models in a crossover count?
Rayman seems right out of the running, really.
Crash, hits his design prime in 97-04, by 2005 he's already trying too hard, 2007-08 he's already in reinvention mode then 2010 is JUST

Wans't there an image about this featuring characters like Doomguy and Venom Snake?
have a coke fuck boi
>2010 crash
what is this from?
definitely either Sonic or Pac Man
I'd have to say Spyro. At least with the other options on the list, most of them still have silhouettes which look like the original character did.
Spyro has changed so much that aside from the purple and gold colors there isn't anything similar left to his design asides from being a dragon
Why is classic sonic always depicted as light blue?
Sonic Boom is a spinoff and Classic Sonic is a seperate thing now, so everyone's pretty much happy.
Rayman literally only improved.
Crash got better, then incredibly worse, then better again, then really weird for that prototype, then kinda decent for the new stuff.
Spyro got fucking ruined.
Banjo got fucking ruined.
Conker got fucking ruined.
Pac-man got fucked up, but the Smash design is probably his best design yet.
>2016 Conker
Jesus...
Enjoy your drink Pepsi pup!
Whoops, I fucked up the Crash thing.
>Crash got better, then worse, then better again, then incredibly worse, then really weird for that prototype, then kinda decent for the new stuff.
There.
Bomberman
Sonic went full retard but the last one is OK

Why is Rayman in that image?
Rayman 3 era Rayman a best
Crash looks pretty good again now, aside from his head being a little big but I think that's just the Skylanders art style
if you're going to include the Werehog, you may as well include Super Sonic
Conker.

Is Rayman supposed to look bad or something?

Some DS prototype game.
youtu.be
It's actually kinda alright looking, design-wise.
>Rayman got better
>Banjo changed a bit but not for better or worse
>rest got worse in varying degrees
Link is one of the few characters that goes through big changes with every release that I actually still like, and have liked all the iterations.
...
I was wondering if that was what OP was trying to imply, honestly I think his design has improved

Come the fuck on, user.

Rayman was always goofy. I mean there was literally a dedicated button for making a wacky face at the screen in the first game.
He's definitely more energetic though
i dont see a problem
enjoy that cup ya fuckin' pup
This isn't an improved character thread though
Are you saying he's gotten worse?
Only Ubiart Rayman is meh, every one before it was god tier as he keep getting "older".

Modern Rayman is the best one
What im saying is that, for example, rayman in ray2 was more serious with still having some of the comical part from the first.
Ray3 made him look cooler while his wackyness was a bit more notorious.
Origins/Legends is him more wackier than ever.
im not complaining btw

Spyro has leprosy
I'm a big fan of the Rayman trilogy, but I wouldn't really consider Rayman 3 Ray "wacky", at all. He was more satirical a lot, which I really liked, while Ray2 was just really timid, which made sense when everything in Rayman 2 went dark as hell in that game, and I consider Ray2 younger than Ray3. Ubiart Rayman is the wackiest Rayman's ever been, and posts like haven't played Rayman, I'm sure. Rayman 1 Rayman was never real wacky, he was a cool kid with a hip attitude, like a lesser Sonic at the time. Rayman 3 was a successor of that.
I like 3 more, but I see Ray2 as stated above "Kid Rayman" and Ray3 "Teen Rayman". Growing up with Rayman I liked 3 more because his personality was really great for the character aging.
What's with the anime boy's fucking hair?
Why is 2007/08 Crash considered bad? I think it's an improvement, really.
That chart is pretty broken, especially for Sonic. Including his alternate forms from game's like Unleashed as if they're proper redesigns, and then including Sonic Boom even though it's a spinoff that hasn't effected the main series is ridiculous.
Not to mention you included the Crash Bandicoot from a cancelled game and only used a handful of in-game depictions of Pac-Man instead of any of the actual official artwork or anything.
Either way to answer the question Spyro got it the worst.
...
proper answer. at least all the other characters maintain some kind of silhouette (beyond 11 spyro, shit is awful.) the game was also fucking atrocious. what a waste of a fun IP.
>1999 Sonic
>Heroes model
At least be accurate
More that he doesn't belong in this image. His underlying design hasn't really undergone any drastic change; it's mostly been changes in style.
There's literally nothing wrong with Toon Link. I don't even like shota.
>using that shitty looking sonic heroes render for sonic adventure in 1999
>Toon
>bad
Spyro, definitely fucking Spyro.
pac-meme is okay
>inb4 fart videos
>Superior design
>Bad
This.
I did agree. But at least it can prove Ray's the best "redesigned" one out of them.
If you're going to throw in Sonic's Boom design, you should include his Runners design as well.
You know, I've been thinking. MicroSoft could've just yoinked the young Conker design from Rare to make it atleast look like the same character somewhat so they wouldn't need to create that monstority who looks like one of those braindead kids
Wait, why are Werehog and Black Knight Sonic up there? Werehog was just a specific form for a game and Black Knight sonic was seriously just him with a sword for that game.
I get boom, but that's its own thing and most people warmed up to it by now.
Spyro, Banjo, and Conker got hit fucking hard.
Crash's most recent design doesn't look that bad. Not sure why it stopped at 2010.
The others are alright
Which was the best era?
Banjo's newest design looks a lot better to be quite honest, family.
>I'm getting sad over a bunch of fast food mascots
Modern is the worst of the worst.
...
somewhere between the second and third when they ditched the pirate and the professor/doctor
still sometimes saw the rollerskating poofs from time to time.
Man, I miss the giant-ass slide my McD's had before they put in the N64's
oh god the slide was probably tiny as fuck and i was just a kid so it looked huge
>using Werehog for the 2008 representation when that was just an alt state
Also, from ones that went down a long iteration line, it's Conker. He's recognizable all the way through 2015 in Project Spark. But 2016 is a totally different squirrel.
Rayman barely changed at all.
Pacman is fine.
Sonic is eh, but could be worse.
Crash changed kinda fierce, but it's nothing absurd.
>Ronald: Team leader
>Bird: Girl
>Hamburgler: Villain
>Poof things and burgers: Minions
>Grimace: ...???
Grimace is the dumb comic relief friend.
But he was originally a villain. Look it up. His gimmick was stealing shakes.
holy kek what happened to conker
Wind Waker link was far more expressive than any other version of Link.
those two musashis are different people though
vectorman
