It's also a way to put in as minimal effort as possible. Why make another Pikachu clone when you can just make a legitimate Surfing Pikachu for example.

As pants-on-head some of them are, I actually like the idea of older Pokemon getting varying types. Again, something that should have happened in previous games. I suppose one could argue that Trubbish/Garbodor are just the Grimer/Muk of Unova.

Normally I would complain about lazy design, but goddamn, Metagross take way too long to level up.

I've been following the "Gotta catch 'em all" manta for years now, and the biggest pains in the ass in my goal to finish the Pokedex are always the Pokemon with really slow level growth & really high evolution levels.

I think i've been trying to explain this well actually. You can find final evos including those found usually in trades and by stones in the wild in the games. so its entirely plausible to find a wild "alola vaporeon" or the newly discovered alola form exeggutor.

Yes, sure. But there is no evidence pointing to that. The evidence we have is that at no point ever in 20 years have we been able to catch a wild eeveelution. That and the fact that this is fake are clear indications that its a big clue towards realising that a leak such as this is not real.

I'm not saying its not possible, I'm saying its incredibly improbable and a good indication of wether a leak is real or not.

There's nothing that's said only Gen 1 pokemon are getting Alola forms, and the most likely leaks have mentioned non-Gen 1 pokemon like Pidove as having alternate forms.
