Honestly, if the Model1 PS3 had the longevity of the ps1/2, I would have gladly paid 600 for it. I paid 350 for mine I think (used). A console with full backwards compatibility and all the data storage/home entertainment options was pretty fucking rad. My PS3 tanked after about 4 years of heavy use, but my ps1/2 are still going strong. I hated the slim ps3, it's so ugly and lacks all the good functions of the original model.
