What are some good ways to farm a few thousand gold on a 100? I'm looking to get some heirlooms to make leveling faster for two alts. Also, what do I do with all these "Sorcerous " and Primal Spirits and whatnot in my bank? The last time I played was at the start of WoD for a few weeks.

Do quests in zones that you never did, you can easily net 1-2k per WotLK and Cata zone. Even more so for Draenor.

I wish there was a mod for a raid checklist so I could keep track of which to do easier. I always end up forgetting one.

Anyway OP, if you have tailoring, make hexweave bags - they still sell for around 1k with mats costing ~200 to 300g.

Per raid. You can do them faster once you get used to them, or if you have really good gear.

Damn I should have been doing these a few days ago. I only have a week of free game time (more like ~4 days left) and was mainly wanting to pick up some heirlooms for an alt or two to make that leveling go quicker.

make sure you're doing the timewalking weekly dungeon quest and the draenic coins quest chain from your rank3 garrison.
These will be handing out heirlooms which is perfect for the pre expansion event because we had a bunch of time walking.

If you're an enchanter with tons of old mats in the bank, you can make those illusion books for enchant transmog, they seem to sell really good.

It IS 10-20 minutes if you are used to them with good gear. But don't expect it to be that fast with tanaan gear when you havent done them ever.

Haven't played since april so this might be outdated, but I made 100k in a month + got the nat pagle mount by farming the water elementals in shado highlands and fel fish schools in tannan

SavedInstances is the mod you're looking for, keeps track of all locks across the your account. Get it asap, it shows up as a key icon on your minimap and when you hover over it, you get the list of raids and bosses killed for all characters.

For the OP, running old raids will still net you a decent amount of gold but it has been nerfed by about 50% as of a few weeks ago. You pretty much missed the massive gold rush that was occurring this entire expansion since garrisons handed out gold like free candy at a party van and old raids would net you 2-4k a run. I've ended this expansion with anywhere from 100-200k on each of my characters just doing gold missions, not even running raids (too lazy).

On 25man normal, absolutely. Old raids up to Cataclysm have a massive damage buff + massive incoming damage nerf on your character, so even at shitty gear levels you'll dominate them at 100.

Watch out for 25 man heroic Shannox though, as his dog will permastun you if you're not a tank spec.

Not at all. Stormwind has a Cataclysm portal section to all the major Cata zones, you take the green portal to Mt. Hyjal and fly south. It is really hard to miss the gigantic fire castle sitting in the lava.

There are several Shamans in the area, yea. There's also the Pandaren portal right a little off to the left. The portal section is in a small lake next to Stormwind keep.

If you are going to solo, pet classes will make things extremely easy on you. So Warlock or Hunter.

Tinylegs Rag is heroic only. He'll end the fight at 10% otherwise.

It's far easier to locate than Dragon Soul, which is the final Cataclysm raid and also a pretty lucrative run. Dragon Soul is located in the Caverns of Time, so you'll either go to Dalaran Keep and use the portal there, or go to Tanaris and fly there normally.

Few random things - to get Shannox to spawn and open the main gate in Firelands you have to kill trash. He'll sound his hunting horn as you kill more (you get a system message).

Spine of Deathwing in Dragon Soul is really irritating to solo. Not impossible, but definitely irritating. Read strat beforehand. Shift+J brings up your dungeon journal that has quick breakdown strats of everything and all the loot it drops.

Yea, either you're running a dps spec with insane burst to kill Rageface quickly, overgeared as hell to kill Rageface, have strong, long last dots to knock Rageface off, have a pet to knock rageface off, or you just run a tank spec to avoid permastun mechanic entirely.

Step 1: get full 700 pvp gear or wait for invasions for that welfare 700 gear

Step 2: farm cata raids on 25 heroic. After a while you will be done with all of them in 2 hours

Step 3: Vendor every epic, AH every green/cloth

If you can beat heroic Shannox, you're set. But Rageface will Rage your Face forever without someone to break you out, so it's a pain.

Uh no. 25 man heroic shannox has more than enough hp to withstand a one shot, even with the legacy buff and full, 740+ mythic gear. Go try it yourself now.

Even regular Shannox at 25man will last a good few seconds. Problem is that rageface on heroic has tons of hp and is designed intentionally to not be killed during the fight, so bursting him down before he can use rageface on you is tough without extreme gear.

This is taking a long route to hope for a big cash out in the end, but doing the shadowmourne quest on a plate wearer can be really lucrative if you are willing to do the two to three months it takes to get the shards. Depending on server that shit will net you 100-150k if you sell everything. The mount and tabard are where the money is at. Its tedious as fuck and rng on shards will make you want to kill yourself and depending on class you will have to sucker some idiots in to get certain parts of it done

the imbalances of some of those are just insane

Doesn't even mean shit because CRZ now. I have a character on Outland and we're in the same battlegroup as Kazzak and Stormscale so there's millions of Horde running around even thought it's like 90/10 to Alliance on my realm.
