Witcher 3's gotten better combat wise but if you've stuck with the series, the combat's generally been ass.

TW1 is a clunky nightmare.
Honestly I never really questioned it. Made more sense. One's meant for monsters, one's meant for men. It'd be a bad day if you're facing a monster but accidentally pull the steel sword.

One sword at the hip just seemed logical IMO.

The combat in this game is so fucking bad it's unreal.
I enjoyed this game a lot and even had some nice moments during combat (I like the finishers) despite the fact that the combat violates against human rights. Most other aspects of this game are top notch and this game is a solid 9/10 only to be surpassed by Final Fantasy XV. Poles really have shown us what Slavic power can do.

He's right. Controls that are slow and unresponsive. Long animations that won't break, when surrounded by multiple attacking enemies. The entire auto-targeting/slow walking when facing enemies ten levels higher than you.
