I don't understand the hostility. You're practically guaranteed a free win against him half the time.
The Priest class has been in desperate need of good cards for a while now, especially cards for the early game. Not only does the new expansion fail to give him anything good, but one of his new cards will clearly be one of the worst cards in the game.

Situations that'll pop up once every hundred games. If you want the silence effect, you can run Silence at a lower cost and more flexibility. If you want the card draw, just use Power Word Shield at a lower cost and to boost another minion for trading.
To be even remotely useful, they need to change it to be able to target enemy minions, too, and even then, it still would barely see any play.
Blizzard employees kept a straight face while promising Priest will make a comeback, the best is yet to come, they have a surprise for us.
Then this card was released as the new priest card.

There already is a ZERO mana cost card that has DOUBLE the utility, since it can silence friendly and enemy minions.
NOBODY PLAYS IT. Its better, and nobody plays it. Priest in fact has two silence cards better than this, and both are never played.

Speaking of priest, back when I played I always thought it needed a card like pic related since its hero power is probably the weakest of all. If that was adapted to HS would it work?

This card is so bad that if you build a deck around it, with all those high stat+negative effect minions (ancient watcher, fel reaver, etc), and then remove this card (which you built the deck around) and replace it with something, that deck would improve.
Think about that. The card isn't good enough to be in a deck built around it.

the cards you'd have to play to keep him alive need to be in your hand, and are usually more useful in the late game. its also only a 3/2 and dies if you don't have PW: Shield or 2 mana to heal him

The odds of having a combination of two card in your opening hand is low.
You NEED Pyromancer and PW:S in your hand to do anything. You mostly won't have them.
Also there have historically always been cards like Imp Gangboss, Nerubian Egg, Raging Wargen, Frothing Berserker, Acolyte of Pain and so on that are regularly played, and prevent the Pyromancer clears from being as good as you imagine.
I tried to give money about 2 years ago, but Blizzard didn't accept my Visa.
So now, I haven't paid any cash. But I have paid a lot of time and RAGEMAD early in the morning as I play while eating breakfast.
I blame SI, if they made the last few Football Manager games better I would've stuck with them for my slow game while slurping oats off the bowl.

I'm pretty shitty at this game and I just play C'thun Priest. It seems to work really well. He has enough draw combined with enough survivability that I can almost always get C'thun really big and in a timely manner.
But like I said, I'm a shitter so I have no idea what passes for pro here.

Too much cycle makes Priest lesser of a control class. Especially when the cycle doesn't have a positive effect.
Hunters preferred a 1 mana Flare because they aimed for games to end before turn 10. Priests don't want that, and even with cycle like that, it doesn't fix their abysmal early game problem.
What targets do you even have to silence anyway? Why would you silence your own Northshire Cleric or Twilight Whelp? The card is just awful design, man. No amount of "cycle" will fix this shit.

And PW: Shield is one of the best cards in the game. There's a reason it's an auto include 2 of in every priest deck since the game came out.
I mean I can see what they were trying to do here, but silence more often than not means removing positive effects. If it was like "revert target card to its original state. Draw a card" then I could see the use.
But even then it'd be really situational, because people would rather kill a card than hex it or weaken it.
I don't understand why so many people are upset that Priest is bad. There is always going to be a worst class and it's like a perfect balance of class strength is possible anyway.
If Zetalot hit legend with Priest, any decent player can. Of course most people go with the whining route which is way fucking easier.
