memelands 2 got me a few times
>we removed falling damage, so now we're going to make you jump off really high shit
Uuuuh... Nothing, because that's not how fear of heights works, just like those fags who literally mod spiders out of games like Skyrim because they have arachnophobia, it's like, you're afraid of dying and killing people, but that's fine in video games, but spiders aren't? Nigga grow up.
Dying Light. the mission where you replace light bulbs on the bridge
Climbing it was one thing but then you stand on the edge and have to look down to interact with the lights.
...
in games it doesn't affect me so I try to climb the highest point and jump
That's if the fear is rational, sometimes whole concept of height is so terrifying to people it's not even about falling just HEIGHT makes them tremble.
This desu. It's fucking weird.
It's not bait dude, I'm seriously confused about that, I have a fear of heights when I'm at a real height, I even got vertigo when I walked into a football stadium once, but I don't just magically get triggered when I see a height on a screen.
>What is irrational fear
>If i'm not affected it means people are overreacting
>when you jump off a building and are falling super fast and you feel the sensation of freefall in your gut
Mirrors Edge
when you fall off a building is really uncanny sometimes
I don't think a computer screen can provide a sense of depth necessary for that. Maybe something with vr.
I wouldn't know though, i actually enjoy heights.
Dying Light ruined me. There's a mission where you need to climb a suspension bridge to salvage working bulbs, and the wind effects are fucking crazy. It's such a narrow ledge and your view is being buffeted by the wind and you know getting anything wrong means death and having to repeat the climb.
One of the final story missions has you climbing a transmission tower to send a message, but it's accurately sized. You literally spend twenty minutes figuring out this puzzle of a tower using all of the platforming and parkour mechanics you've learned throughout the game, it's crazy. Gorgeous views and it's a long way down.
When I played the Vault of Glass in Destiny I had to close my eyes when you drop down that big cliff.
I always felt like an idiot
Not heights but fuck Subnautica. May be a good game but I can't deal with fucking alien fish roaring in the background and pic related.
The monsters in this game look like fucking pokemon anyway
scared
Mirrors Edge
>That absolutely horrifying arm flailing and static noise whenever you fall before the *splat* and blackscreen when you hit the ground
I got seriously triggered the first time that happened
It's still fucking terrifying holy shit
dude, the fact that static noise gets louder the longer you fall is FUCKED.
>your heart lurches in real life too
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
dying light
