Why do you like it? Why don't you?

I want it but I feel like it's just going to get boring.
I hate the fact that there's no ship customizations and no real multiplayer. Pisses me off.

Needed a multiplayer element. Games like this only work when they're MMO hybrids.

That's exactly what i'm feeling.
I'm in love with the idea of endless exploration and adventuring, but it seems like there will be a point where it just starts to be the same.

I don't really give two shits about multiplayer, so I'll definitely be picking it up.
Only thing that bothers me is the post-game system of well, not having a post game and just a new game +.

Gonna see how comfy the exploration is. Since the creatures... fuck it's just mix and match toy parts.

I'm probably getting it, really want to play a nice comfy space exploration game

If people have reservations they should just pirate it to see what it's like since it's coming out on GOG

I'm not sold at all.

If it's good , great. If it sucks no skin off my back

Maybe wait until anyone's played it to ask how it is

I also hate that there's no goddamn building.
I know that if you build you wouldnt want to leave, but what if I want to build a simple night shelter or a shelter for a few days on my planet? I dont wana just live in a goddamn cave.

Who knows if we can even pirate it. It's all online and shit so..

Speaking of GOG, are the pre-order skins a one time thing or will they release them post-release eventually?

I need it to fail because I wasnt here for The Old Republic and I want to feel like part of something

We know basically everything that's going to be in the game anyways, anybody who's interested in it has watched the leaks and read the reviews.
Sup Forums happens to be less pushovers about games than reviewers are though.

Do not ask Sup Forumss opinion on a videogame.

>all online

What? No it isn't. There's been an offline mode ever since the devs got tired of test players naming things after dongs. Quit listening to the Sup Forums circlejerk

Only the most autistic minecraft player will be able to enjoy this game longer than 30 minutes, top.

Let's not kid ourselves, Minecraft is a much better explorations game because you can build shit and interact with players.

>I'm extremely torn on No Man's Sky
Everyone is, it's not even out.
Why can't you just wait for release and see reviews from press, players and from Sup Forums?

I beat it and honestly it was so underwhelming.

the $60 price tag and the hype is what killed it for me it seemed like a cool concept for a fun little indie game you would play when you're bored and had nothing else to do, people just got way too exited after the e3 showing a couple years ago

I want it to succeed.

Simply cause I really like the idea of wandering around the universe finding shit no one else has found. But I'll wait until people play it, cause you can't trust reviews anymore (They'll most likely suck this game's virtual cock cause "MUH INDIES!!!") and I've been suckered enough times already by other games overpromising and underdelivering.

>and from Sup Forums

that's never a good idea
due to the nature of the site, you can have the same opinion multiple times due to blatant samefagging like

just fucking pirate it holy shit are you retarded

>can't explore and screw around with shit with a friend

kinda lame

I might take the time to torrent it, assuming they have a fucking FOV slider but HG can't even be bothered to confirm that while they're moving the launch date to supposedly add shit like 21:9 support last minute.

>I'm torn on NMS.
>asks cesspool of shit for proper advise

There's definitely ancient ruins you can find, and it seems there are bases on every planet.

it was just confirmed.

i haven't bought a game in a while so i'm gonna take the leap of faith on tuesday and see how it turns out. if it's shit i'll get rid of it, but i think i'll have fun getting high and looking for space atrocities like this

Thread with clickbait title finaly dies, new one near instantly.
The shill is real.

You do know you're allowed to post more than once in a thread right?

There's nothing to beat dumbass. That isn't the point of the game.

That's really sad. You should legit kill yourself .

>GOG game
>All online

You retarded boy?

Is it better than spore?

I haven't been keeping up with the leaks, or even with promotional materials for this game veryclosely.
From what has been shown, can you fly your ship around within a planet's atmosphere, like an airplane?
How free are you to fly your ship around in space?
For example, would you be able to fly between planets without using some sort of warp drive, or is it to be assumed that your ship travels fast enough to cover astronomical distances in manageable amounts of time?

> implying samefag.

Eat my shit horsefucker.

>playing Nu-Male's Sky

I'm waiting to see if the game makes it past the nu-male hype stage before I consider buying it.

The second option, you don't have to warp drive or anything you just simply fly through space same as you would around a planet

Some systems have multiple planets in them and you can fly between those planets freely

To go between systems you need to use your warp drive

I'm looking forward to the loading times as the game builds the entire thing from nothing and then transfer that into memory.

The second video on Steam shows in-atmosphere flight.

They've explained and shown that you could just fly normally through space if you want, but there's also a "warp speed" of sorts that makes you travel faster to better cover the distance, which you can toggle at your leisure once you have a ship capable of it.

You can cruise with your ship around the planet at a speed that I'd say mimics a commercial airplane, with some option for boost that maybe gets you up to 5-10x the speed.

As for interplanetary travel - if you stick to the conventional propulsion, it would take ages to get to the next system. The interstellar distances seem to be what we know them to be - too vast to traverse in an evening. Hence the jumpdrive.

it looks pretty gud

the guy playing on twitch is in an underwater comfy world

Yes.
Full control with no restricciones.
Yes.

In otherwords loading screen everywhere.
Atmo entry and exit are a interactive loading screen.
Warp is a bland genetic starfeild loading screen.
Black holes, loading screen "shortcuts" to the center.
Traveling to another galaxy? Loading screen at the center allowing a repeating newgame+ mechanic that more then likely strands you forever from the last set.

Ect, they cover it well but lots of loading if you think about it.

>Atmo entry and exit are a interactive loading screen.

A pretty short loading screen that is.

I intentionally avoided learning anything about it until a couple days ago, when I decided to watch an E3 trailer and a few minutes of actual gameplay footage.

Not really excited. In fact, it literally motivated me to re-install FreeSpace 1/2 with all the updated graphics mods.

The space combat in No Man's Sky looks like shit. It's so strangely slow and "floaty." I'm not sure how to describe it, but it seems off, like everything is in slow motion.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello_Games

Why the fuck are people hyped? The studio has NO experience. I've never even fucking heard of Joe Danger.

This is like my 15-year-old cousin telling me he made a game. I mean, maybe he did, but I have every expectation it will be shit, unless a bunch of experienced people helped him.

Sure, my cousin may say it's the best game ever and has this-and-that, but that doesn't mean he's right.

I'm torn too. I think the smart thing would be to wait for it to go on sale a few months from now and just play it then. Maybe it'll be fully updated and even have some mods to make it better. Then again I'll probably lose interest by then.

From what I've seen the flying speed is incredibly slow which is probably my biggest gripe with the game right now.

Do what I'm gonna do:

>lurk Sup Forums at least on the first day to see the shitposting and participate in it trashing the game
>make fun of retards who paid money for it
>pirate it when GOG version comes out so you can see abominations like pic related for yourself
>play for 1 hour and uninstall going back to shitposting
>make fun of retards who paid money for it

>another dime-a-dozen ''''''''''''''''''indie'''''''''''''''''''' '''''''''''''''''''''''''exploration''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''''''game'''''''''''''''''''''''''
pass

It'll be nice if Hello Games works on mod support sometime down the line since they've talked about maybe doing it

Is nobody watching the Twitch stream of early release copies that keep popping up? That games certified trash go watch for yourself. It'll be getting 6 or 7s by most review sites

>Play No Man's Sky
>Reach the center of the galaxy
>See the ending
>It's the last 20 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey

I expect an above average game with 40-50 hours decent gameplay. games typically get tedious after 30 hours anyway, so not expecting the world here.

It does have a multiplayer element

repo.nmsdb.info/info/Multiplayer

The obscurity of it all

>what is exactly the "multiplayer" aspect
>how far does the crafting and resource collecting go
>what incentive is there to explore other planets if most the resources you need are on close planets

I saw a stream yesterday were the guy made some sorta house/ resource extractor and could decorate it and stuff.

Im also curious as to what this fabled day one patch is. Sean has been sperging about it since the street date was broken.

>can't customize your ship
>can't go deep sea diving
>can't build
>can't play with friends
>from the moment you enter your ship to the moment you get out on an entirely new planet, only one minute has passed

...

But we know the answer to all those questions

And you can do half of those things

And no I'm not going to tell you the answers to your questions

Go and read something you fucking faggots repo.nmsdb.info

>killing yourself

>pirate it when GOG version comes out so you can see abominations like pic related for yourself
>play for 1 hour and uninstall

implying you wont at least dig 30 hours into it looking for bugs. glitches and abominations.

Implying it won't be fun

Implying you actually enjoy the game doing this, cause your life is pretty pathetic

>paying $60 for minecraft in space with no multiplayer or building

watched a bunch of streams last night / today before they inevitably got b&

Looks to be worth torrenting and maybe an hour or so of hunting for top geks like this:

>we know all the answeres to these

Then whats the game changing day one patch going to be?

I'm getting it. I know what I'm getting, a walking simulator set in space.

People who do not know this are going to be disappointed.

>can't go deep sea diving
Just play Subnautica. It's already 100x better than this trash.

I guess I'll try it. Was just turned off by how colorful it is and the UI makes it look like an educational game.

>meme quotes

wow what a shit game

>how colorful it is
kek... You're not wrong. The shallow reef area you start in is very colorful.. but once you go below 100m shit is pretty dark and spooky.

I won't be playing it until they decide to put weapons on it. That mass shooting nonsense of a explanation on why there are no weapons in the game is awful.
If anything, mods will fix it.

Who the fuck cares you big baby. You don't even need them in the game. There's already a propulsion cannon which serves the same purpose a gun would. Games revolving around exploration as the main genre don't need FPS mechanics too. Have you ever even shot a gun in real life? Fucking FAGGOT. If that's the only reason you're not buying the game then literally just end yourself. I bet you didn't even know about the game before that stupid post was spread all over Sup Forums anyways, double faggot.

>not wanting to blow giant sea monsters to pieces
What a fag...

>m-muh violence
What's it like being underage?

Subnautica is cool. It has a surprisingly complex weight/speed/oxygen consumption when you start out and base building is cool with its compartments.

It is colourful because the ocean tends to be colourful. Don't hate it for using real-world standards as a base.

This is literally false. Lead development directly stated if you and your friend were standing on the same planet you would not see each other.

It's indie procedural generation game with shit quality, no multiplayer and next to no gameplay. Basically starbound in 3D except starbound has some redeeming qualities. What would I expect from it?

>not wanting to blow giant sea monsters' giant sea cocks
What a fag...

Reddit NMS defence force?

pcgamer.com/no-mans-sky-10-burning-questions-answered/

You will. They just play it off as NMS being so big that you will never run into groups of people. Another article stated that you can find people and even friends. They will all be wearing diffferent space suits or what not.

twitch / trueslide
There is a stream. Check out the game and see for yourself if you like it.

Pretty much the only reason I'm remotely interested is because absolutely nothing else is coming out this month, but even so NMS looks meh.

>nothing else
Deus ex

I lost interest in HR halfway, new one looks like more of the same.

ive heard people talk about gog? whats so special about it? it seems like its just another form of steam

I just realised this is the guy from RedLetterMedia.

Their whole thing is selling DRM-free copies of games. They give you the install files and have at it
