Sold by parents of dead kids that don't know there's a disc.

When will people not recognize the correlation between the GBA Player and all those mysterious deaths?

people lost them / the people selling them to you bought them from someone who lost it most likely the second

Mine hasn't killed me. Yet.

Look up how to hack the GC if you can though since you can just run the fucking 1mb disc that way then.

Because nobody cared about them after a while, it sucked my GameCube of energy to the point I couldn't play anything when it was attached.

what?

use game boy interface instead of the GBP disc. You do need some way to run homebrew apps from your gamecube though(SD media launcher).

I two spare Gameboy player discs. I think one came jangling inside a case of Simpson's road rage and the other I literally found on someone's front lawn unless I daydreamed that. All the discs are flawless on the read side though one is scuffed on the sticker side.

>Friend gave me one for my 11th birthday
>No disk
Someday

Typical stupid people who can't keep track of shit. I've had mine since like 2003 and it's still in the case where it's always been. I can understand people losing the cases but the fucking disc? Maybe it's clueless parents who thought the disc was one of those old demo discs or some shit like that.

Why not just run mgba on your wii?

The adapter used so much energy that I could play any games on my GameCube, either on the adapter or the console.

Your GameCube receives energy from the wall, what the fuck are you talking about?

>no Super Gameboy features on GB games
>no fun little secrets like the Super Gameboy like the janitor, wallpaper specific screensavers and hidden credits
>barebones as shit that ran the GB/GBC/GBA games and little else

I liked and still have my GB Player, but man was it underwhelming when I first got it.

This is probably the best because if you have a dslite you could even transfer saves to and from real cartridges.

...

I bought the gameboy player because it was cheaper than buying another gameboy. First thing I did was transfer my save from Golden Sun to Golden Sun 2 because fuck having to input a 260 character password.

Yeah, the multi-player port was a neat idea, was the only way my brother and I could play the Mario Brothers game that was on all the Super Mario Advance games.

The Super Gameboy 2 had a link port, but that was japan only.

>you will never play FFCC or FSA with the five GameCube set-up

Dude. Just what is the problem?

I had no idea they made a super game boy 2.

Surely it's easier to have a lan party with the Dolphin emulator.

The adapter used too much electricity from the GameCube. The cables provided with the system didn't provide the required amount of electricity to properly run the adapter. Both the system and the adapter would work for a small amount of time until the screen went black and the sound stopped. Eventually it stopped working at all, just going straight to the black screen. I removed the adapter and the console worked just fine on the first try.

are all of these things fucking haunted?

wtf is this thread. /x/ vs Sup Forums

You can't hack the GameCube

You can also launch jt if you have a copy of melee. Look up Homebros, transfer the save to your memory card via Wii or something and you can have gameboy player while having Melee in the disc drive.

Why didn't you just say that?

Either way, that never happened to me, so I don't know what to say.

There's a hard ware hack to get to run burned discs, but I would assume it's really expensive now

You can use a hacked wii to put hacks on a memory card and run it on the gamecube through a hacked melee save, and load game boy interface through that.

Sounds like a lot of hack, you hack.
