A CURVED...monitor???

they have curved monitors. CURVED MONITORS

PC gamers have never made sense to me. This probably costs a fortune more than simply buying a 4K HDTV.

Dont those monitors have a ton of lag

...

M8 these are for older more stable adults with too much cash on their hands. You know the kind that buys random motorcycles on a whim or expensive assault rifles. This is nothing to them.

Put those pictures into equal scale, faggot. The top 3 monitors are over 2 times as wide as the bottom one.

I think most people start with one monitor and slowly add to it. I'm sure the total cost gets close, but buying a $300 monitor to go with the one you already have is cheaper than splurging on a huge ass 4K TV or curved monitor.

Thats like a 800 dollar monitor at most. Its cheaper than 4k.

>has $5000 gaymer gear
>plays games from 1990

Huge monitor (40" or more) with one or more smaller secondary monitors > huge monitor alone > three small monitors > one laaarge monitor > two small monitors or less

>Dell Home & Office has 50" Samsung UN50KU6300 4K UHD HDR Smart LED HDTV + $175 Dell eGift Card for just $599.99. Shipping is free.

They aren't that expensive any more desu

well, witcher 3 is better than enything

>Standard 1080p monitors
>mac keyboards he likely jacked and not for gaming
>cheap standard mouse

nah

had an LG 29EA93-P for some time, was amazing but it only got to 75hz which was kind of a deal breaker for me. I want to get a 34" or two 27" for over my setup.

this
3x monitors = $400 - $500
1x curved extra wide monitor =$1k or more

If the game doesn't support arbitrary resolutions, you are fucked. The top setup will always work, at worst case the two side monitors won't be used. If the game can only do 16:9 or 4:3, the bottom monitor will be completely useless.

>mfw playing rainbow 6 siege with 44 inch monitor
I. SEE. EVERYTHING.

Yeah man Ill admit I havent even looked in a couple years. Its also a different experience visually. I think I like UWHD more personally.

holy shit marry me

>using a TV as a monitor

Enjoy that input lag, nerd.

I will, once there are affordable 4k VR headsets

I want to get a big 21:9 monitor for gaming and for watching movies but I want to buy a house first.

Movies would be so much better on it and for the games that support the resolution it would be the best way to play them. It's super immersive having that wide field of view.

using a 55inch element tv on my PC i got for $179 2 years ago on black friday user, and everything works just fine with no problems.

stop acting like you have to spend a months rent on a monitor because "muh input lag"

i have a quad monitor setup. because i actually use my computer for more than just games. and my vid card is getting a bit old. but it runs 1080p just fine. whereas i had a huge 4k monitor i'd be good and fucked. plus it a pain if you need to move.

75ms of lag is not "just fine with no problems"

input lag is awful though, your tv is a bad choice.

you know, i have a huge 32" monitor and even i'm thinking i might benefit a lot from a second monitor

especially when this one can rotate vertically

nah, you're simply retarded

>especially when this one can rotate vertically
I decided I MUST have this feature when I got my current main display but I have never used it not even once. I guess when I get 4k I'll use it for manga.

one of my monitors is vertical just for manga. it's nice for viewing web pages too.

thanks for reaffirming "muh input lag"

faggots

This is my current setup
The top is a 32 that I use for shows and movies. The bottom left is a 27' 144hz benq and the right is a 27' LG.
I love having the extra one on top for just playing movies and stuff while I game for like background noise and whatnot

>itt first world manchildren thinking they need two monitors

you're just going to post on Sup Forums and jack off to zoophilia

>mfw I got this TV for 100 bucks because my workplace went under and the acting manager was retarded

>Not using both

Dumb

i bet you play games for fun faggot

...

What's with that vertical line on your left monitor?

I have no idea and it really bothered me at first, then my eyes learned to ignore it. So you know, thanks for making me aware of it again, dick.

>$400 - $500
Wait, I can get paid to have 3 monitors?

21:9 is the superior option right now. Too bad a lot of games dont support it for no reason, and you ahve developers actively trying to fuck over 21:9 users (looking at you Overwatch!)

Super great for MMOs, but FPS is really nice too.

>see post on reddit
>30 mins later, see it on Sup Forums

ever tim

You're welcome. Also you're now breathing manually.

world peace, nice

Ya well you're blinking manually. You're also having a hard time breathing at exactly the right pace and keeping your breath.

i want 2 succ ur feets

FUCK

Your eyes can't see more than 50° degrees so anything more is unrealistic. People that use a higher FOV in FPS are just cheaters.

What the fuck do you even call those monitors? It's been a real pain in the ass trying to find one off of Newegg or Amazon

ever since i experienced 21:9 for the first time i've developed a fetish for the Acer Predator x34
i'm gonna buy this monitor one day when i get a $2000 or so budget for upgrading my pc

I have 3 1080p monitors in surround and love it, I will eventually get an ultra wide years down the road when they are cheaper since my current monitors are 60hz. Here is a video of it in motion, go to the later part of the vid m.youtube.com/watch?v=XGHEYXqblJk

but I feel better having a fullscreen video on the other screen rather than a windowed section of the screen
but wait my screens are physical windows so why do i care about windows windows?
so maybe i should feel good about watching videos on a single screen because it's 1 physical window

look in the search options and you need a monitor that has PIVOT HEIGHT TILT SWIVEL stand adjustments. got a dell and 3 benqs. benq calls them HAS stands. surprisingly benq has the best selection at the most reasonable prices.

>Kraken
My man. Have three of those empty fuckers in here with me.

if you only need it for gaming/movies/web and not photo/print editing.
a 22 - 24" monitor cost less then a $100.

He's having more fun than you though.

Any normal monitor, the screen rotation is done in software.

Some stands let you rotate the monitor 90° but really nigga just use a VESA mount like a normal person

Good choice of liquor
But Coors?

>1 huge monitor to see one game
>2-3 monitors to game and listen to music/steam/Skype/jack off

Choice is obvious here.

>But MUH GRAPHIX

Fuck off kiddies

OPEN TTD!

Just wanted A beer that night, dont give a shit about taste after demolishing Kraken.

How am I suppose to shitpost with just one monitor? I run a game on one and have a porn playing non-stop in the second monitor.

JEWS ROCK

this
whenever i try having one monitor i can't help but want another monitor to have Sup Forums or discord up on the side of whatever i'm doing
even as i speak, on my main monitor i have anime streaming.
multiple monitors is far superior, but i'd have to say the most ideal setup would probably be 3 ultrawide curved monitors

A single 40" 4K will give you four screens worth of shitposting glory

Or stack 3 4Ks side-by-side for an entire wall of porn

One big monitor is better. I use 2 monitors only for drawing.

>falling for the 4k monitor with the top cut off meme

>I play games for fun shitter detected

what about this Sup Forums?

Where'd you get that bad ass Grey Fox statue?

I would love that without the damn bezels. They used to piss me off with my old multimonitor setup and ended up going back to a single.

Wouldnt you rather have the option to keep multiple windows open on different screens and just adjust to the dividing lines than to lose that option?

The eyes compensate quick, and you cqn run shit on the side while you fullscreen vidya on another screen

That's all that shitty macs will run well-- 90s games.

I would like a wide monitor, but my desk form wouldn't allow it. I also like having my dual monitors in a vertical setup.

Pleb Shit

youtube.com/watch?v=8L1cz1Hr6Hs

youtube.com/watch?v=BwS0fftQAFc

Such a nice monitor and the only game you found to play on it was a western piece of fucking garbage?

You got it the other way around Richard.

breh..

If you are a nigger, you wont notice the bars.

>dualwielding

>Not knowing of and understanding the vast difference in quality between a PC monitor and a TV.

Peasants are only so because they know no better I suppose.

That just looks awful

WELL I NEVER THOUGHT THAT IT'D BE SO SIMPLE BUT

Dayyyummm

also
>tfw always install TTD play for half an hour, get bored and uninstall

I used to play this shit to death as a kid, have I become a casul?

My best friend bought it from some Japanese website I asked him but he says he didn't remember. He had to sand it and paint it. He's super into model kits and shit

I only have 2 monitors of unequal size, so I play vidya on my main one and primarily use my secondary monitor for keeping chat windows or shit open, though usually I'll be using my dual screens to do research and shit since I'm a lawfag.

Having source documents / cases open on one screen and a word doc on the other makes life a fucking breeze

Why would I sell them when I can repurpose them?

I'm waiting for a 21:9 that does 144hz gsync at 1440p. There are 1080p 21:9s that do 144hz gsync or 1440p 21:9s that do 100hz gsync, so hopefully what I want will come out in the next 12 months.

Spherical monitors when

there was one that i saw when i was looking for just that, but shit was like $2000

I'm Getting Three New 24 ASUS Gaming Monitors, 1920x1080; 144hz 1ms.. To Hell With 4K

Yeah, i bet the advertised 120hz and response time is totally accurate.

>Peasants

What would be a DIY solution to a vertical monitor?

Very poor.

You prop or mount it against the wall

I had a hell of time mounting that fucking tv with a real mount, would need to borrow all my dads shit again to make sure there is solid shit on the other side of the wall.

Any fucking easy bullshit I can accomplish with like three pieces of wood and scrap metal?

>there are people in this very thread that dont use a curved monitor

you shit cunts need to stop living in the past

Some sort of makeshift base-heavy support that you glue the monitor on

you don't to mount it on studs, just get wall anchors

You can get a smaller ultra wide(wich is still huge at a desk) for around 220.
A good 4k gaming tv with "low" input lag will cost you 1299,-.
