It was fun, I remember deleting fences so the lions would ecsape and start attacking visitors.
I don't know why zoo/roller coaster tycoon games are no longer produced, they're still near the top of Amazon's most bought games list.

The second one looks cool with the better graphics, more involvement in animal stuff, better zoo design etc but unless it has dinosaurs, or at minimum water tanks with sharks and whales, I'm not interested
There was something so relaxing and cool in the first game about placing one square at a time of grass or whatever into a fussy animals cage til the green smiley faces turn to frowns, finding the perfect habitat for it, especially for the dinos
That theme brings back so many memories of sick days off school when I was about 10
