The n64 was the Xbox of the 90s. Multiplayer focused, had nothing but shitty western games, a LOT of FPSes and normie sports games, and had a few M rated games despite only kids owned it.

I dunno, nintendo had some pretty fucking good games but then again so did sony, not to mention the metric fucktonne of 3rd party games they had. The PS1 was sorta the indie system for games due to how cheap it was to produce games for it, it's amazing what you can achieve out of pure spite.

NES and SNES, arguably. Though come to think of it, SNES vs Genesis is a lot like PS3 vs 360. One of them had all the Japanese RPGs while the other had everything else, one of them was only relevant in America, one of them made a significant impact in the industry to cause developers to scatter their games, and one of them had fucking weird hardware that couldn't run most games properly.
