When Pokémon "jumped the shark" for you, Sup Forums?

When Pokémon "jumped the shark" for you, Sup Forums?

>that broken english
kebab

gen 3

oh hey Sup Forums, it looks like you are on the wrong bord again

this is Sup Forums, we talk about vidya here

have a nice day :)

I skipped gen4 and start hating them on my own accord.
After years of shitposting, when I went back to play them, they're good.

Yellow

Mega forms

it was when i was in home an nindento call me

"pokemon jump shark"

"no"

and you????

X and Y. They were fucking awful.

Gen 6

Pokemon jumped the Sharpedo a long time ago. Maybe around gen 3 and 4. When it became deities: the game.

Telephone ring

"Hello Pokemon jumped the shark"

"No"

>implying that is a bad thing

Without being autistic, elaborate

Mega forms

When they made pokemon out of key-chain. Although it's been boring to me since gen 3, just not shark-jump-worthy yet.

I just naturally stopped giving a shit after Gen 4.

But Mega evolving is bullshit and beyond stupid.

>Oh hey I like this new Mega Charizard. It's sleek and now has a niche with Drought
>Wait, what do you mean he has two Megas?
>Why does Mewtwo have two Megas?
>Why are you giving so many powerful Pokémon Megas?
>Now there's Primals which are the same thing except no item required???
Alolan Forms is genwun pandering done right.

X and Y with mega evolutions

When I realized it had the same gameplay as a pocket calculator pressing subtract. So about late 1999. Picked up X and kinda loving it for the visuals though.

X and Y
HGSS, Platinum and Emerald are the best games

It hasn't for me. Gen 4 was pretty fucking shit, and I wasn't crazy about 5 but 6 was good and I'm looking forward to S&M. Most of the major changes have been improvements, I just wish that natures had never been implemented.

Gen V. That's when the new artstyle really set in. I also thought B/W were overrated and didn't like half of the new Pokemon introduced. B/W2 were amazing though.

>alolan forms

what is this bullshit?

>When I realized it had the same gameplay as a pocket calculator pressing subtract.

You can say this about any game.

How

Mega Forms
Like what the fuck is that shit, I'm okay with Castform forms since it's essentially the same Pokemon, but wha the fuck is this goku evolving Charizard shit
Get the fuck out

4th gen

I'm playing White 1 now and having an okay time Pokemon design has dropped off and the majority of the pokemon look like shit or digimon tier but there's still good looking pokemon here and there where as in earlier games the majority were good with a few trash ones, most look like shit now with good ones here and there.

Some improvements made though abilities better "rivals" etc but it's way easier most people have about three pokemon so I've had to handicap my self

>inb4 pokemon was always casual
Sure it was but not this casual

Other games use reflexes, positioning, planning. Actual skill on the gamer's part. It also put me off jrpgs in general.

>no visible buldge/balls
get this gay shit away from my board please heterocuck

gen 4

i still played and finished the game but it just felt boring and tedious and made me realize how sick i am of the formula

then again i was playing pearl and most people seem to genuinely agree it's terrible compared to platinum so maybe i should give that one a go

>people who play Bicycle Sim for hours on end have a clear cut advantage over you
>you can't clear this gap with skill because it's a turn based game were only stats matter
And I thought Pokémon was meant to be about multiplayer

Not yet.
It will when people stop complaining about new gens
Right now every time a new mechanic gets introduced people can't stop whining about it, it's delicious. Yet when enough gens have passed previous gens get redeemed (Gen 5 then: "Story in my pokeymans? Disgusting.")
