I loved spore as a kid.
I'm sorry No Man's Sky turned out to be good.
WHY CAN'T THEY JUST GET IT RIGHT
INSTEAD OF MAKING A GOOD GAME THEY BOTH FAIL AND PRODUCE LOW QUALITY FUCKING GARBAGE
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>There are people who still hate spore
I clocked 2500 hours into it and still creating stuff. Just ignore the shitty game stages and play it for just the creator
this desu
spore would have been better as an alien sex game than a strategy game
You got it wrong
Spore is actually very decent and high quality game
It's just was very disappointing because we knew what it could be
NMS on the other hand is unplayable garbage
Learn your memes, newfag
This, Spore is totally rad, it just should have been infinitely better.
>Bought Spore off the PC game clearance rack at a PX with no expectations
>Was fun as fuck
I understand the disappointment it was to many people after reading further into it after buying the game, but Spore is by no means a bad game. It probably could have been great if EA didn't have their filthy hands all over it, but that's just speculation. Hype is usually a bad thing, as once expectations aren't inevitably met people view the end result in a much harsher light. Just look at No Man's Sky, although that game has very little redeeming going for it, I doubt there would be as much hatred surrounding it if Sean has just shut his fucking mouth and told the truth about the game instead of telling lies to try to squeeze more hype out of fans.
Spore is totally boring as fuck. Havent played no mans sky but you dont have to be an oldfag to know what Sup Forums thinks of it
Spore has okay mechanics. Serviceable at best. But it's fucking ugly as sin. None of the creatures look any good
>None of the creatures look any good
Thats because the maxis default creatures suck ass. There are people who can make some legendary shit.
you must be 18+ to post on- oh, fuck.
Spore was fun until the space stage. It was almost as barren and repetitive as No Meme's Sky. That's why whenever I played it, I would go up until the space stage and start a new file
Nah, Spore has a very cool concept and some great customization, but the game itself is dull.
It's a bunch of very shallow mini-games. You aren't really playing a game, you're just going through the motions.
I was just thinking about this today actually, I guess because of no man's sky. I used to be annoyed over the cut content/false promises/hype but Spore had some pretty cool stuff, especially the mission editor I remember having fun with.
And they had a procedurally generated galaxy as well, lol.
I disagree, first stage and space are very fun to play
I guess genre just isn't for you
I think he has a point, the gameplay was just too shallow all around.
In the cell stage this could be somewhat excused because it's the first one and it introduces you to the evolution mechanics but it really doesn't get all that compley in all the other stages.
Especially the creature stage becomes very disappointing once you realise that there's no actual 'evolution' in the game and it's basically just an RPG.
>as a kid
GET THE FUCK OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUTRREEEEEEEEEEEEE
This is how I felt with the game. Every other life stage was fun and didn't overstay their welcome. The variety each stage added kept me from getting bored of the game. Then the space stage comes along and it is fun at first, but then it just gets monotonous. You end up repeating the same motions over and over again until you reach the center of the universe, and that's it. The expansion pack kind off makes the space stage fun again, but then it relies on the talents of other people to make fun stages. Even then, that gets boring after a while.
