Why was Jak 3 so much worse than II?

jak & daxter is a shit series, it's just a long line of shitty games that profited by jumping on the bandwagon of their time's popular genres

even the first one which Sup Forums holds in high esteem has shitty controls, it's just because it's a cutesy memory from their days as a child, the only time they were truly happy and were easily entertained by platforming collect-a-thons

I'd say they're on par with each other

Not true. I bought the remastered collection and played through them. They were even better to me now than they were back when I first played them. Ratchet and Clank however did not age well at all. Those games are still shit and always have been

Although I can admit the original R&C aged like milk because of the godawful targetting the other "remastered" versions are half-assed glitchy port.
Insomniac optimized the game so well on the PS2 the guys porting the game had a shitton of trouble unscrambling the black wizardry for it to work well on the modern system.

But 3 is fucking horrible.
And i tell it as Sly's fan

The first Jak just felt like a shitty Crash to me, and didn't get good until the last few stages. Still loved it, though.

It felt like an open world Crash but with more moves. Which I really liked.

What are the shitty controls everyone keeps talking about? The camera and the lack of strafing? There's nothing inherently bad about it, despite all the R&C comparisons.

I actually thought J&D had better controls. Rolling, spinning, and the hoverboard were smooth as fuck.
