The girl is a qt :3
Huh, PG16 for an isometric game? What was PoE, again?
I wonder if the top left corner guy dies from heart failure before the game comes out.
Anyone else just physically can't play isometric games?

>generic medival fanatsy setting #22435643234
Really getting bored of this shit.
There are LITERALLY millions other possible settings, yet it always comes down to this most overused one.
looks like shit OP
It's neither medieval nor generic...
I can't wait to experience a fantastic world where """evil""" has won. Being a part of her royal overlords evil army of evil and bad dudes who give everyone equality and a better quality of life as long as they don't break the laws like murder someone in cold blood. Grr makes me feel so bad.
What?
It looks like something out of Ancient Greece.
I see swords and magic.
Maybe medival was the wrong term, low technology then.
its fucking shit obsidianiggers
try bronze age, champ.
...
If Ancient Greece was hastily assembled on a Wal Mart parking lot.
Yes, medieval is a very wrong word. It's inspired by Ancient Greece, etc. No plate armour for you!
Pillars wasn't medieval either, it was Renaissance.
I don't follow.
>negro
hahahahahahahahhah you motherfucker
Looks like some dude from my class
That's what passes for a female in 2016?
Now I see why monks deliberately go celibate.
why do dykes always looks like chubby 12 year old boys
>Pillars wasn't medieval either, it was Renaissance.
and it did nothing at all to show it. The locations you visited were still very much stuck in the generic medieval fantasy era. All the background lore made the setting seem more fantastical and advanced than what the game itself presented it as.
They've realized that chubby 12 year old boys are the epitome of attractiveness.
Female pedos please die.
Which part looks promissing? The part where some faggots are marketing the game or the 5 seconds of actual ingame footage?
So can i play a tranny?
>and it did nothing at all to show it.
Except for, you know, the style of dress people worn, the style of armour and weapons, the firearms, the animancy being the local version of technological progress, or the fact that the location is an ex-colony of a decaying Empire that gained independence after a revolution...
>The locations you visited were still very much stuck in the generic medieval fantasy era
If you think that Defiance Bay is a typical medieval city, well, I don't have anything to say to you.
...
...
...
ABSOLUTELY HALAL
Of course you can. Can't wait for the super-duper evil guy to have exclusively liberal dialogue choices when anything even remotely political comes up.
> the style of dress people worn
wow
> the style of armour and weapons
you mean the same shit they used in medieval times?
> the firearms
they sucked ass
> the animancy being the local version of technological progress
Even games that use the most uninspired and generic settings like Baldur's Gate 2 makes it seem like it's in the space age compared to this lol
>or the fact that the location is an ex-colony of a decaying Empire that gained independence after a revolution...
>The locations you visited were still very much stuck in the generic medieval fantasy era
Again, only spoken about in background lore snippets, but is never actually experienced in any meaningful way within the game
>If you think that Defiance Bay is a typical medieval city, well, I don't have anything to say to you.
That's because you know I'm right.
There are no women on the internet, user.
>dev diaries
fuck
off
>you play as a top lieutenant to an evil queen that pretty much won
Fuck this reminds me too much of Black Company to not get hyped. But then again
>same shit gameplay and stats as PoE
So you dismiss literally everything that distinguishes medieval setting from a Renaissance one? Lol.
>only spoken about in background lore snippets
you literally experience crisis of power in the defiance bay you retarded cumgurgling faggot
fuck it, you actually made me upset, lol
Allahu-bombard!
>>same shit gameplay and stats as PoE
the systems are different, though?
>fuck it, you actually made me upset, lol
Are you a child or a retard? Either way it would explain how you fail to differentiate between the medieval and renaissance era. If you think PoE came even close to evoking the feel of the renaissance era then all I can do is just lol at you. Go play Arcanum to see how it's done the right way.
I noticed the same +/-2% to whatever for each point above/below 10 and shitty offense/defense to hit system in those two character pages that flashed at one point.
Custom gameplay, neat and wonderful too
But in this open world, what can you do?
I usually like Obsidian games in spite of their flaws, so I'm willing to give this one a fair shot
Arcanum isn't Renaissance, you dumb fuck, Arcanum is full on Victorian/industrial revolution. Here, educate yourself:
en.wikipedia.org
>The Renaissance (UK /rᵻˈneJsəns/, US /rɛnəˈsɑːns/)[1] is a period in Europe, from the 14th to the 17th century
en.wikipedia.org
>The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840.
Pillars is unquestionably Renaissance. It's up to you to consider it a shitty game, but it's a shitty Renaissance game, not a shitty medieval game.
The stats' names and effects are different.
Oh great, ANOTHER indie 2D RPG, just what we needed.
>indie.
>evil queen
Highly unlikely.
Obsidian is still around?
That is surprising.
Good for them.
isn't it made by obsidian?
>Maybe medival was the wrong term
Maybe you should stop spewing buzzwords.
It's published by Paradox.
The wording was poor on my part. I never meant to insinuate that Arcanum was renaissance. I should've added that play Arcanum to see how to make a setting in a transition phase of one era moving into to the next look and work properly. Something PoE failed at.
Kyros is the evil overlord and it's a she, as explained at about 0:51 in the video.
Both games have areas that are more advanced and ones that are less advanced, with the former flourishing. This lets you know that wow, the times they are a-chaingin'! So yeah, they both do it similarly. Pillars is less blunt about that, though. Anyway, it's clear you don't understand the difference between Middle Ages and Renaissance so maybe you should read the wiki articles on them before you embarrass yourself further.
>Indie
Let's see.
On one side you have several sources including developer interviews, with the project leader too, and even in-game dialogue confirming Kyros male.
On the other side we have a single instance of one dev calling Kyros female.
Yeah, I wonder which one appears more legit.
So progressive! Women can be overlords to, ya know?
>fat blob
>fat blob
>fat blob
>nerd appearance
>regular looking
>trying hard lesbo
>doesn't understand hair
>nerd appearance
>someone that actually dressed nice and did their hair to look presentable for the camera
Jesus, 7/9 devs are just social trash.
It's funny but I was going to advise you the same. There is 0% renaissance in PoE other than meaningless flavor text that's dumped at your feet by your NPC companions who speak of fantastical lands, cities and events, none of which youu'll experience for yourself because you're too busy getting your mediocre and generic D&D experience.
Which one is the latest in the design phase faget? Shit changes.
What if Kyros is hermaphrodite?
>On the other side we have a single instance of one dev calling Kyros female.
You mean the project lead, right? The man who is responsible for everything that goes into the game and calls all the big shots?
>athletics and dodge separate
>thrown weapons and one-handed weapons separate
>attributes in percentages
jesus christ
I'd say the in-game dialogue.
What if u were kybos all along?
Kyros is a male name
The project lead is Brian Heins, and he also called Kyros a male. Repeatedly.
>There is 0% renaissance in PoE
>because style of clothes, weapons and armour isn't indicative of level culture
>because direct parallels to American Civil Wars are just there
>because firearms aren't common, though primitive (it's early Renaissance)
>because there aren't a bunch of people obsessed with knowledge and science
>because lead designer, who actually majored in history, didn't explicitly refer to Renaissance as direct influence on the setting
But yeah, I get it, you just going to dismiss everything because it didn't had steam engines and machineguns, things Renaissance was famous for!
Some facts for you: plate armour was only commonly used in Renaissance, most actual medieval knights didn't use it. Estoc is a renaissance sword. Stiletto, rapier? All Renaissance weapons. But wait, no, that's stupid, when Renaissance begun people just stopped meleeing each other and made a bunch of tesla guns and fuck yourself you fucking shit cunt
I like the isometric but the graphics are so-so, the combat looks boring, and the writing/VA they're showing off isn't impressive.
I'll keep an eye on it I guess.
did you not watch yesterdays gamescom interview where he refered to Kyros as a she?
I thought we wanted nerds making our video games.
You're really grasping at straws now faggot. My guess is that you're an american with an american """education""", doesn't have his own culture or history but likes to pretend he knows about the world around him when he's never been further than his own state.
kill yourself
I'm not the only one who read tranny game, right?
>I thought we
Fuck man, what's wrong with you? Are you actually confused cause you are receiving conflicting commands on what you should think and want? Think for yourself.
How long will it be before you get executed by your boss? How long will it take for normies?
>Obsidian are full of nu males
who would have guessed?
I was that accurate, huh?
He didn't. The one who called Kyros female was Matthew Singh.
What...you have...common sense?! NANI?!
what do you think tim cain and leonard boyarsky are working on
hopefully arcanum 2 and not bloodlines 2
Ignorant. Only stupid people can't see that POE is obviously a renaissance game.
>American Civil Wars
Also I made a pretty dumb mistake here, it's obviously Independence War.
look at all those white people
GUYS, Kyros is a
M in the US. The very first town is centered on a tree full of the rotten corpses of hanged townfolk after all.
>arcanum 2
MY DICK
It's a skill based system. Not class based like POE. That alone suggests things will be a bit different.
Can you have a young boy under your care had him castrated and then marry her?
Okay, but mtf, or ftm?
Fuck off. The only other companies doing true crpgs like this are Larian and arguably CDPR. Bioware and Bethesda sure the fuck aren't.
Yeah, talk to me when these shitty old games for dads actually are as good as Fallout 3.
Caligula remake with cumberbatch as the lead when?
Literally Soulcatcher
why they are working with the ights out? 3:52
