SSDs are expensive and they work great.
A HDD is perfectly fine, but means your loading screens won't be as short.

It's an experience thing. My PS3 basically became corrupted in a partition, but for how the harddrive was set up, I had to wipe the entire thing. Ever since then, I try to use a USB, just in case.

SSD loading time in games : 2-3 sec.
HDD 7200rpm loading time in games: 5-7 sec.

SSD cost for 120 gb = around 90-00 euros
HDD 7200rpm cost for 1 tb = 50 euros.

I have both, just get HDD 7200rpm, won't make that much of a difference and you will have a lot more storage space.

I use my SSD for my operating system and 1 primary game, usually online multiplayer PVP games, currently using it for Overwatch.

All my other games are on my HDD.

Also if you do get a SSD, disable system defrag and never defrag it.
