So I just finished this game, 100%

So I just finished this game, 100%.

First off, I wanted to say thanks to the user who randomly posted a download code for it.

Second, what are Sup Forums's thoughts on this game? Best game ever made?

Holy fuck, do really not know how to find ROMs?

FART IN MY MOUTH GRANDPA, I'VE BEEN A GOOD BOY ALL DAY

DONT FORGET THE MASH POTATOES AND GRAVY!

MMMM YEAH UNF UNF UNF FUCK MY ASS GRANDPA!

He said download code, implying he's playing it on either the Wii or the Wii U.

Carry on

It's cool but the camera is annoying in some parts of the game
>Best game ever made?
lol

that doesn't change his question though.

It's definitely one of the best. I think it's mostly because they went and thought about what the most important thing in a platformer was, namely your ability to move around, then went and made that incredibly fun with lots of choices in ways to move and jump, with wall jumping sticking out as the only kind of frustrating thing to really pull off.

Not necessarily, but I know I for one don't enjoy emulating games on my computer as much as playing it on a console (though considering its likely emulating through a console it's a nonsensical thing to say).

Why would I play it on the ROM? Someone posted a download code on here because they already had the game, and the thread was dying, so I saw it first.

Wii.

What question? What did you think of the game? How is that relevant to what you're talking about?

It's not the best but it certainly is a classic.

>What question?

Why would I play it on a ROM if someone gave me a download code to play it normally?

I fucking miss the 64 artstyle Mario.
The ovalish head and tanned skin looked so charming

>you will never spend all afternoon with friends trying to solve the mystery of L is real 2041 ever again

>Finished the game 100%
So you unlocked Luigi then, right?

Ah, I played it a lot on there myself when I was younger. To answer the OP, I consider it my personal favorite game, though I wouldn't call it the greatest game of all time (I'd say that's Super Metroid). It has its flaws, such as reusing tracks heavily towards the end and weird collision detection (mostly only had to deal with it in TTC) resulting in deaths that didn't look like they were my fault. Other than that it's a damn fine game and I'd say easily the best 3D Mario, maybe even the best Mario overall. The act of controlling Mario is fun, fluid, fast, and not lacking in depth like the later games. Skilled players are rewarded with being able to get to their destination faster and more stylishly, and that's always a plus for me. I hate when I play a game (like Uncharted) where no matter how good I am at the game I'll be going along the same path as everyone else.

Personally I don't care, I was just showing you the question he was referring to.

Apparently, Sup Forums is so full of atuism now they'll throw shit at you if you say you prefer the classic platformer formula over this abomination

I really like the controls for Mario in that game, you can fling him all over the fucking place. The camera is usually okay as long as you're in the open, it isn't great but this is early 3d gaming we're talking about.

Best game? No. Fun? Hell yea.

>this abomination

Are you calling 3D World an abomination?

3D World didn't wow me or anything but I think both games are good. SM64 is way better though.

3D world is not an abomination though

i see way more people disliking 3d world on Sup Forums than people liking it what are you
plus its a pretty good fuckin game

It's a damn solid game that honestly still holds up today. Even the biggest fucking casuals around that I know of, who only play shit like Call of Duty and DmC because they think they're cool, love Mario 64.

3D is my most favorite Mario game.

Also, you have it backwards. 3D is "classic platforming."

>see way more people disliking 3d world on Sup Forums than people liking it
>its a pretty good fuckin game

why does he say so long gay bowser?

actually the VC version is the only version that doesn't have some graphical issues with the HUD and the colors and textures look better than any emulator.

Also it comes with a really cool scan of the actual manual for the game.

I do believe that if someone gets the download code for the game for free, there's nothing wrong with preferring that version.

enemies are way to fucking easy, but I love this game.

>emulating N64 games
based PC peasant

My dream is for another 'opened ended non linear stages with multiple objectives' 3D Mario. 64 is hands down the best.
