I don't even understand that. I NEVER tried to make friends, and was never socially adept. People came up to me and said "WHAT GAME IS THAT" and I didn't explode into treats or drop my pasta on the floor. That's pretty much how I got all of my friends and even girlfriends as I was growing up.

because you can't take this board seriously. god forbid you try and have a games discussion on here, because it gets ignored, doesn't have as nearly enough contributors as youd like, or gets turned into off topic garbage.
All there is on this board are waifu threads, flame wars, threads about a tv show/movie/Internet celebrity/anime/porn/music, basically anything that isnt video games in the slightest, or just general shitposting like meme spamming and shit.
That's all there is, the only other threads I see that are gaming related, whether you like it kr not, are something in relation to visual novels, /vg/ threads but on Sup Forums instead, /vr/ threads that die quick, or something thats happening on live stream such as Evo, quake con, or GDQ.
I guess that's the appeal of this board, it's off the hinges and despite their being rules, it's guaranteed not every thread will be vidya related or get deleted quickly.
Negativity is probably the only thing that brings discussion here, even if it is cancerous bickering that only leads to name calling.

I'd say the largest amount of negativity comes from younger, newer posters who think this is how you should act around here. They think Sup Forums is all about hatred of vidya.
The rest is mostly autists getting riled up about stuff they are passionate about (like that FFXV guy) and regular people that just like to shit on things they don't like.
Just look on Normiebook, people love to shit on things they don't like.
